Second time on Carnival and we enjoyed ourselves again. Family of three, one teenager doing 8 days south pacific. Stopped Noumea, Mare and Isle of Pines. Highlight was captain alerting us to whales alongside ship. Great crew and everything went really smoothly. Sixteen yo made most of O2 and had a ball. Went to Nouveau and it was worth every cent. Would not bother again with buffet for dinner, we only did it once because we didn't feel like dressing up on formal night but next time I will make the effort. Dining room meals were also great. We did 2 shore tours. Segway in Noumea at the forest park and it was really good and we also did guided tour of Isle of Pines as on other trips we have just snorkelled and wanted to do something different. That was really good fun too. Snorkelling on Isle of Pines is really good and the water on Mare is so clear although the snorkelling not quite as varied as Pines. Would recommend Spirit as a good family ship with lots to do if you are happy with a relaxed feel with a varied clientele.
