VIP member with seven past Carnival cruises, I booked the Pride with excitement of another fabulous cruise in a Vista Aft Suite with all kinds of perks, ie Priority Embarkation/Debarkation, laundry, bathrobes, exclusive dining...
EMBARKATION: I was denied Priority Embarkation because the line was "closed"????, so I waited in the long line, shared my concerns with a Carnival staff supervisor ...
I've been on the ship before, and my prior experience was exceptional, although not this time.
I could not believe the quality of food and how much it has gone downhill. We were forced to eat at David's Steakhouse, which was fantastic but at a cost or the Lido deck that was uniformly revolting. We ate a lot of pizza as it's the only food up there that has held it's standard. The Lido Deck ...
We have travelled on Many Cruises(25+) over the years and was quite disappointed with the Glory, very out dated and the staff had great difficulty with English, this is the only cruise I had ever been on where It was so difficult to communicate with the staff, our cabin Steward (Dana) she was a pleasure to see each day, very pleasant, cheerful and very efficient, the dining room staff were ...
This was the 3rd cruise trip my sisters and I had with Carnival. We were very excited about our trip to Europe and be on Carnival's new ship Horizon.
The ship has a new elevator system. The high tech system was designed to increase efficiency and reduce wait time. We didn't notice any improvement in wait time. Most of the time, we were tire of waiting and took the stairs instead.
The ...
I chose this cruise based on the itinerary. I have not been on a Carnival ship in three years. This is my 21st cruise, so I have some perspective. The technology was great. I have also never embarked so fast. The crew was friendly.
My issue was the food. Breakfast was exactly the same each day. The dining room experience was sad. Food not up to par. No butter, butter dish, salt and ...
Went to find some April sunshine. Good points first: Never found the ship overcrowded even though almost 4000 passengers on board. Plenty of sunbeds and comfortable beds in the cabin. Bad Points: VAT on drinks!!. Who are they paying VAT too in the middle of the Med??. Excursions are extortionately priced and much easier to make your own way around. Food in main restaurant is mediocre to average ...
Pros: Live near Charleston and did not go to the Bahamas
Embarkation and disembarkation was satisfactory
Food was good and the dining room service was excellent especially Sunita
Cabin steward's were the best
Ship was clean
Never introduced to the officers and crew as is done on most of the other ships I have sailed on
...
The dining and main part of the deck was too small for the volume of people. Dining was almost always crowded, deck area was filled to capacity. The water park area took up a large part of the deck, however, there were not many kids on this cruise - leaving the rest of us fighting for comfortable space in the remaining 2 small pools and lounge chair areas.
The activities and constant ...
Not impressed with the ship one bit, not worth all the "hype" it was given prior to going in service.
First time I NEVER bought a drink on a cruise due to the VAT. Carnival should be ashamed of their selves for not disclosing this fact prior to sailing or prior to the cancellation date.
Food was so bad in the buffet, deli and the new BBQ, I wouldn't give it to my dogs.
"Dive In" movie ...
Chose this cruise as it was a new ship and we thought the price was good. The ship, food, entertainment and service was a big disappointment to both of us. This was our eighth cruise, our first and last with Carnival. They can learn a lot from there competitors as a lack of training was obvious where the staff especially in the dining areas were concerned.
The so called entertainment at night, ...
