Chose this cruise as it was a new ship and we thought the price was good. The ship, food, entertainment and service was a big disappointment to both of us. This was our eighth cruise, our first and last with Carnival. They can learn a lot from there competitors as a lack of training was obvious where the staff especially in the dining areas were concerned.

The so called entertainment at night, especially in the theatre was amateurish to say the least. The singers were well below par and gave the impression that they thought if they shouted loud it was ok. Some of the visiting artist were good and the two young men who sang in the lounge were worth listening to.

All in all a very disappointing cruise, we tried not to let it spoil our holiday and we did enjoy the ports we stoppped at. We came to the conclusion that carnival are only interested in making money and some of there scams were day light robbery especially in the bars. The surcharges on the price of drinks was outrageous for example a bottle of wine that was thirty dollars ended up costing us forty when they had finished adding the charges to the price.
