Booked on the 11/29/2015 - 12/6/2015 sailing to Grand Cayman / Costa Maya / Cozumel. Received an e-mail notification from Princess on 11/29 at 10:36 that fog was in the Houston area and that Caribbean Princess’ arrival would be delayed. They gave a toll free number to call for further updated and a revised check-in time. That was utterly useless as it basically said it our ship’s arrival was ...
The Ship was beautiful. Upon entering ship We were impressed. That ended when entering our cabin D123. Opened the door and it smelled like Urine. The Cabin stewart did what he could to alleviate the problem, to no avail. Went to Desk, she stated the Ship was sailing full, however in 2 days first port Antigua passengers would be getting off they would have room to move us to another cabin at that ...
We drove to the port the morning of the cruise. After reaching a certain point in the long line on Port Rd. we made it up to a policeman or Port Authority personnel and were told that the ship was fogged out of the port and we couldn’t advance any further. They gave us a Princess phone # to call to get further information & instructions. We called all afternoon, getting the exact same message ...
We have cruised 20+ times on five cruise lines. This review is for our fourth Princess Cruise on 11-29-15 but it is the first time I have ever provided a review. This review is in two parts. Part one is on the Caribbean Princess ship. Part two is about the Princess Corporate office in California..
Our cruise was delayed one day leaving Houston I day due to fog in the Houston ship ...
There were several issues on this cruise that left us frustrated. The cabin we booked was way too small - even though we were told that four of us could fit. Even the cabin steward thought it was terrible that they book us in that cabin due to the space issue. They should not book cabin A702 for four people! We were moved to D728 and it was much better - but it took them two days to do that. ...
Having now cruised on most cruise lines I can safely say that the Caribbean Princess was a cut above most lines with similar price points in terms of service, food and amenities on board. We are grateful to the staff for their excellent work.
That being said. BEWARE ANY CRUISE LEAVING AND ARRIVING AT THE PORT OF HOUSTON! We were scheduled to depart on Sunday, November 22nd at 4 PM. Due to a ...
Yes, our ship The Caribbean Princess actually stopped, came about, and rescued a raft containing a dozen Cuban refugees who had been drifting in the Gulf of Mexico for almost a month! It was a heartening experience and one we will never forget. The captain and crew did an excellent job of providing medical attention, food and water to the refuges. Our vessel contacted the Mexican Coastguard who ...
We wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary with this short hop down to Progreso. Got a good price on a Caribe deck cabin where the balconies are almost twice the size of other decks. We had originally picked an aft cabin on the Riviera deck but after reading about the Caribe balconies, I called Princess and scored the C205 cabin, starboard side forward. We left Austin heading for Houston ...
We were originally booked in an obstructed view and when they had a price drop after our final payment, they would not give me the new lower price, but did offer a free upgrade to a balcony on Lido deck. We had L226 which is Balcony Forward on the Port side. I was concerned about noise since its on the same deck as pools, bars, and Horizon Court Buffet. We could not hear a sound from the ...
Staff is outstanding in trying to make sure you have a great vacation. All of them smiling, asking what they can do for you, very well trained. Boat is okay, have seen fancier ones but this was still nice. The casino is small with few table games available. The food was really good. Only one meal that we did not like, the rest were memorable. The entertainment was for all different age groups and ...
