We chose this cruise as it would take us to places we have not been too, or places we would have never gone too. The scenery from the ship was mostly farmland and forest, but once on land there were many wonderful things to see. Food was very good, and the portions were smaller so you never left the table stuffed.
The wait staff was excellent.
My only concern was by day 4 people were ...
We received information regarding river cruises and the itinerary on the Emerald cruise Sky on the Danube caught our attention. Read the many previous cruisers reviews and it appealed to us. We decided to book it for our 40th wedding anniversary.
Our booking agent rivercruise was very attentive until we booked the trip, then it was very difficult getting answers to our questions from her prior ...
Emerald is PHENOMENAL! They go above and beyond in service with a smile! We lucked into wonderful (warm) weather our whole trip.
Our Cruise Director Patricia and Activity Director Noel were very easy to work with and kept us all in great spirits throughout the entire trip. The excursions and guided tours were very informative and all the guides were knowledgeable and friendly! There was ...
We attended a local presentation and then booked a river cruise with Emerald. All of the ship's crew were very friendly and professional and made every aspect of the cruise very enjoyable. The food was amazing and there were always alternate choices if needed. The entertainment varied each evening and included special guests, such as local bands or accordion player or violin player. The daily ...
We chose this cruise purely as novices to Europe and wanting to explore as much as we could in a reasonable time. Starting in Budapest and finishing in Amsterdam it was as busy or not as you wanted it to be. We chose to do as much as we could to get the most out of our time. We did all included tours, a few “Active” tours and paid for 2 extra tours. Our days were full, fun and we learned a lot. ...
I am not a cruise person per se, but during planning for this trip, Emerald stood out as an all inclusive value oriented option that included active excursions on about every stop along the Danube, Main and Rhine Rivers. We took advantage of the active offerings and averaged over 6 miles a day walking or hiking in the various cities along the cruise route. The active tour director did a good job ...
Just got back from a 15 day European cruise on the Emerald Luna, and cannot find a bad thing to say about the ship, crew or activities.
Our cruise director Michael made everyone welcome and knew all our name within the first day or so (there were about 120 of us). Yeager our activities director was charming and accommodating when we requested special activates - like an oldies sing along. ...
8 close friends had originally booked this tour in late 2020. The Pandemic pushed it, and it took two years to finally sail. Veterans of many ocean cruises, this was our first river cruise. The Danube Explorer- Passau to Budapest with 3 added days in Prague and 3 more in Budapest. We had high expectations. A few were met. Many weren’t.
I have to let you know, we are NOT picky travelers. As long ...
We chose this cruise because of the route and the fact that the boat looked modern and had only 90 cabins so felt it would be a more personalised experience.
Many we spoke to also felt the experience was let down by the food which at best could be described as acceptable. Quite frankly for a week’s trip that cost over £6,000 for just two, we felt sure we would get to enjoy amazing and memorable ...
We wanted to cruise the Danube as it would take us to an area of Europe that we had not visited before. Our cruise got off to a very bad start as when we arrived in Munich from Birmingham ,having been up since 3am in the morning , our transfer to the boat was not available , and we were left for over 90 mins waiting for transport to arrive. The previous day we had been told that the cruise would ...
