10+ Cruises

Age 30s

This was our first Cunard cruise, and we probably won't be back for many reasons, but I will detail the good and bad. Our sailing was Brisbane to Singapore, with ports Airlie Beach, Darwin, Bali, Singapore Embarkation in Brisbane was smooth and easy, the fishermans grain terminal isn't nice but I wasn't going on holidays for the terminal so wasn't impacted. My first impression was that ...

Pleasant but not exceptional

6-10 Cruises

Age 60s

Felt that the Princess experience has been dumbed down for the Australian / New Zealand market. More focus on partying and sales than anything else. Port lecturer delivered what was standard spiel even though the detail did not apply. For example talked about the market in Noumea and how to get there and noted it was open to mid day. We berthed after 1pm! Buffet seemed to have a really random ...

2-5 Cruises

Age 50s

We had our annual convention on board the Sun Princess so had no choice of ships or cruise line. This line caters for the old and very old. Passengers lived in fear for the total time of contracting Nora virus which has been on this ship since January The ship is old and out dated. The wait staff were great, they had a huge job keeping the virus at bay. The ship was very clean and food hygiene ...

Age 60s

We sailed with a group of 22 and this itinerary was the first choice of the group, many of whom hadn't cruised before. Embarkation and disembarkation were smooth. For a large group it was difficult to find any public area on sea days to meet together without us paying for a meeting room. In the end we met in the Horizons buffet dining area mid afternoon but not as comfortable as a lounge ...

2-5 Cruises

Age 60s

My husband and I sailed to New Caledonia for 10 days. My review is as follows: Ship: First impression when I walked onboard - old. First impression as I walked down the corridor of our deck (Baja) - old & faded. Sun Princess needs refurbishing and is not as big as other Princess ships. The cabins are very small. Wardrobe space is small. There was no bedside table on one side of the queen ...

In general the cruise itself is fine. We all enjoyed it. Only on one ocasion during lunch at the Horizon that I found lipstick on my coffee cup. The staff immediately replace one for me.While I was having the cooked cabbage, I chewed a piece of plastic about 2x2 inches. I reported to the staff and he sent his supervisor to me to apologize. The next day somebody called me from the office and ...

The ports were great , 75 days just long enough , but after 28 cruises with Princess being Elite is nothing now , no priority boarding , no priority disembarkation, our mini bar took over 3 days to get changed , 3 different legs , laundry was taking 3 days , no priority on tender days , the reason to many Elite , over a third of the passengers were elite , the passengers who get everything now ...

First Time Cruiser

Age 40s

We were with our family on this Cruise and almost everything was almost good. Food was great and lots of activities. But we could not leave our children to the childrens club because staff look liked that they weren't sober and smelled like liquor.. They should make them take breathtests before allowing to work. Because of that we missed some activities and hope that if we come again there's more ...

Im a platinum member of cunard which means i have traveled a lot on all there ships mostly on QM2. the food in the britania resterant always arives less than worm although presentation is good, even though the ship has undergon a big re-fit it is still tied in parts its saving grace was getting rid of that terrible palm court. the shops are exspensive as products can be got ashore at a better ...

The ship is tired and the staff seemed to lack the enthusiasm that we are used to. The Windjammer restaraunt staff did not keep up with the demand and restock low or empty food dishes. The bars also seems to be understaffed with the resulting slow service. I've never been on a cruise where the main evening entertainment was a film in the theatre. And one that had been shown previously ...
