We chose this cruise because of the ports they visited and the pre-cruise extension. The pre-cruise extension had 2 nights in Oslo and 2 additional nights in Bergen. This cruise was originally chosen to see the Norway, Sweden, Finland and St.Petersburg, Russia. With Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Russia was no longer possible so Viking substituted two islands, Bornholm and Aland. Both sites were interesting but no match for losing St. Petersburg. We chose this cruise to see Norway and the beautiful Fjords. It didn’t disappoint! The fjords we saw in Flam were spectacular. We took the 12 mile train ride to the Vatnahalsen Hotel and it was very scenic. After Flam we cruised to Stavenger, Norway and did an RIB tour. It went quite fast!!
