We wanted to see places we had never seen before, especially Barcelona.

Our flights to Bergen were rearranged because of a partial cancellation. The alternate flights set up by Viking got us there at 1:00 a.m.with an 8+ hour delay in London, causing us to miss getting acquainted with the ship and Bergen. Other flights, which would have been slightly more expensive, would have gotten us there shortly after noon. We were disappointed with the way Viking handled this, and our trip started on a sour note.

We liked the ship, our cabin and all of the people on the ship. The food was great and we enjoyed the amenities. We had pleasant times on the excursions, though a couple were priced pretty high. Our first experience with Viking was on a river cruise and all excursions were included. While there were free excursions at each port, the optional ones added quite a bit to the cost of the trip. Also when we took both the included and optional excursions, some were redundant. On board the ship we were always treated as valued guests. For those taking this trip at this time of year, the balcony was seldom used because of the weather. It was nice once we got to Spain.

Cabin Review

Cabin Junior suite

The cabin was very nice, and our attendant was super.
