Sail Date: Jul 2022

This cruise was originally chosen to see the Norway, Sweden, Finland and St.Petersburg, Russia. With Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Russia was no longer possible so Viking substituted two islands, Bornholm and Aland. Both sites were interesting but no match for losing St. Petersburg. Viking recognized this and generously gave each guest a future travel credit. We substituted Iceland for Russia by having a pre-cruise extension in Iceland. Iceland was excellent.

The Viking Jupiter ship was excellent. The ship's sailed smoothly and almost silently. The staff were exceptional. Every need was met with a smile and a few even remembered guest's names.

The food in Manfredi's Italian restaurant was very good as was the Chef's Table. The food in the Restaurant was fair to good. We were disappointed in the buffet food in the World Cafe. The buffet meals often were just acceptable.

Cabin Review

Excellent cabin. Bathroom/shower very good size.
