We chose this world cruise excited to visit some of our bucket list destinations. While visiting Egypt became impossible due to conflict in the region we were still thrilled we would be going to Rhodes. But not to be. More than half the cruise has been made up of sea days with substandard destinations. Food has bern appalling with regular absence of fresh fruit, salad and now no coffee available ...
Originally we chose this cruise mainly because of the ports it was due to stop at in Israel, Egypt and Cyprus, but this itinerary was amended when Israel declared war on the Palestinians and these ports were replaced by others in Turkey and Tunisia. This was obviously not the fault of Costa Cruises.
Overall we enjoyed the cruise, but not Costa and unfortunately we wouldn't ever travel with them ...
Nautica is a beautiful little ship. The crew were wonderful. Unfortunately this didn’t make up for a number of other issues relating to this supposedly upmarket company.
1. The itinerary change was so drastic it didn’t resemble what we booked in any way. Other ships still visited Egypt, Oman and Salalah and these ports were cancelled on our trip. The day we were meant to visit Athens was windy ...
In May 2022, my husband and I along with 4 others in our group, put deposits down on what I thought would be a cruise of a lifetime. So I thought. Barcelona to Dubai with visits to Israel and Egypt was what sold us. Fast-forward to 2023 and this cruise itinerary was basically scrapped including Israel, Egypt, Jordan & Oman (and rightfully so because of the war.) However, Oceana replaced these ...
Our 32-day cruise included many planned ports impacted by the war. The result, after our last Mediterranean port, we had ten consecutive sea days on the way to Dubai. The cause of the changes was understandable. That would could not cancel was not understandable. The ticket contract holds with port changes, understandable for operational and weather issues. But massive changes should release ...
I was a bit uncertain about this ship. It is a smaller older ship. This was also our first time taking a European cruise. Let me tell you how fantastic this cruise was. The ship is well maintained and very comfortable. The service was outstanding. The food in the main dining room as well as the Windjammer buffet was plentiful and delicious. The entertainment was top notch. There is actually a ...
I am writing ths review to make any potential future guests aware of Regent SS Navigator and our miserable experience with the vibrations and noise which we experienced everyday in Suite at the rear of the ship which on some days was so bad that all of the wall and ceiling the panels where all shaking / rattling due to excessive vibration which totally ruined our first Regent seven seas cruise ...
Just got off Wind Star legend Mediterranean cruise. What a total disappointment although the rooms were spacious and the ship was very clean. Everything else lacked luster. Absolutely mediocre food and the main dining room felt like you were eating in the cafeteria. The pool was extremely small and the same five people had the space the whole time. Although the staff was excellent, you could ...
My husband and I sailed on the Oosterdam Sept 14th, 2023 - October 8th, 2023. This was a 24 day trip starting in Barcelona and ending in Athens, Greece. When booking, everything that could have wrong did. I was given misinformation about having an assigned cabin and having premium economy flights. This was straightened out by a very helpful Resolution Specialist. We received an email from ...
We chose this cruise with our friends because the ports of call were pretty close to where we wanted to visit in the Mediterranean. Also the pricing seemed to be pretty competitive.
As with everything when we go on holidays, there are good and bad, pros and cons, highs and lows and this cruise was no exception.
Firstly, the highs ...
- the ports of call were a definite attraction
