My sister and I wanted to visit Istanbul on the newer RSS Splendor, so we were very happy that we made it to the Turkish ports of Istanbul and Izmir, which were the reasons for booking this itinerary.

This was our second cruise on the Navigator this year, a special offer advertised in July for an Eastern Mediterranean itinerary with several new ports was too good to miss. Our trip was just a few weeks after the ship’s visit to the dry dock and the external paintwork looked pristine. This was my second cruise with Azamara and, booking very early, I landed a suite as a solo and "what a difference a suite makes." We just returned from a 26-day TA from Athens to Fort Lauderdale; actually a 12-day Mediterranean to Barcelona and a 14-day transatlantic crossing to FL. Loved the ports - beware though tendering at Zakynthos; unless you had a ship tour booked you could wait 3 hours plus to get off (we gave up)
But the ships tours WERE very good and would recommend.
