This is our 1st river cruise and we really enjoyed it.
The crews were great, friendly and organized. They were very helpful and always smiling. Viking knows what they are doing. From the time you landed in the airport to start your tour to the time you are ready to fly out after your tour, there’s a Viking representative to help you find your way and to prevent any problems.
The tours, ...
The ship’s crew and the tour guides are helpful, friendly courteous and receptive to all your needs. Included tours are great and the phase is relaxed. I just wish a better entertainment after dinner is available not just a piano music but some kind of show like magic, stand up comedy or a singer or dancer (it doesn’t have to be famous). For all day refreshments, sodas like coke or Pepsi should be ...
Friendly, attentive, & professional crew worked very hard. Veranda room was nice with the huge windows, but we won't get that again due to the noises from on deck above. Someone was moving chairs up there, so we couldn't sleep. We could even hear footsteps... sounded like someone in heels. The only real disappointment was the paid excursion of Paris, where we were on the bus so much we never got ...
We very much enjoyed our pre-cruise time in Paris and the entire river cruise. Mia, the Cruise Director, was awesome! She was so much fun and informative and 'real'! We really enjoyed ourselves and like the included daily excursions and the paid excursions as well. We love how organized and on time everything is. The housekeeping staff was hard working and efficient and we appreciated their ...
My wife and I cannot say enough good things about our cruise with Viking. The staff provided the best possible hospitality. The food was amazing. Everything was always clean and we were kept well informed on a daily basis. The guides for our show excursions were friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. So, why did I rate the cruise at only 4 of 5 stars? Our add-on time in Vienna was darkened by ...
The river cruise itself was good, except we could not use the upper deck. First because it rained a little, which we expected, but with the coming of all the low bridges and locks the upper deck was unavailable the majority of the time. Because of this I would not recommend this particular river cruise. The customer service before our trip was not my expected Viking experience. I never received ...
Chose Viking cruise because of the small ship size and the ability of seeing so many different Christmas Markets. The food on board was decent. Breakfast was the best offering of the day. Lunch and supper were less stellar. Typical cruise fare. If you are looking for gourmet you will be disappointed, but you won’t starve. Coffee and snacks are provided all day long for a quick energy boost. ...
We chose this cruise for the Christmas markets we would visit. As far as those locations and the associated excursions our expectations were exceeded. The locations were great with really no two experiences being the same. The tour guides were all outstanding; with all being well informed, strong English speaking skills, and (as a bonus in one case) inclusive of adult comedy. The Ship ...
Chose this cruise to explore Christmas Markets along the Seine. While the ship and staff were wonderful, the Christmas Market part was sorely lacking. Maybe it was too early in the season? We did visit a market in Paris and a very small market in Roen but it was not Christmas Market heavy like the Danube cruises. If we'd known this, we would have chosen a Danube or Rhine cruise. The towns along ...
I’ve been on several other cruise lines but this was not only my first Viking Cruise, but my first river cruise. It was wonderful. The staff friendly and professional; the excursions well planned and executed. The food choices were excellent and well presented. We happened to travel over Thanksgiving and the staff and chef made it an enjoyable experience. We had a “traditional” Thanksgiving dinner ...
