Friendly, attentive, & professional crew worked very hard. Veranda room was nice with the huge windows, but we won't get that again due to the noises from on deck above. Someone was moving chairs up there, so we couldn't sleep. We could even hear footsteps... sounded like someone in heels. The only real disappointment was the paid excursion of Paris, where we were on the bus so much we never got out to see the Eiffel Tower or Notre Dame except thru someone else's window. That neant we never got to see them up close since the river was so high the ship could not dock in Paris. 1+ hour bus ride to Paris meant the 1st day of our trip was stuck onboad, so we never got to really explore Paris. That wasn't the cruise-line's fault, but i wish they had explained better how that would affect the excursion, and given us the chance to cancel. At the end of our trip, everyone in our party got sick, so we still never had a chance to really experience Paris. And even though we were all sick, we couldn't get a redund on our last night's paid excursion. Next time, we'll only do free excursions or go off on our own. Normandy was amazing. For the Louvre paid excursion, when it says "a private tour," that means you are amid a million other people following your own tour guide (for your group of, say, 20) with a headset. That was fine, but not a "private tour." Better descriptions for these paid excursions would be a plus.
