Our travel agent suggested we try Uniworld for a river cruise. Together we chose Castles Along the Rhine. We were greeted at the airport in Amsterdam by a Uniworld representative and soon we were whisked away to meet our ship, the River Empress. Spent a few days in Amsterdam before our cruise. Embarkation was exceptional. It was raining, but crew met us at our taxi with umbrellas, grabbed our bags and whisked us onto the ship. We actually booked our first river cruise through Costco and trusted their judgement. It far exceeded our expectations! The food was truly wonderful as was the impeccable service....friendly and extremely helpful. I can't imagine a better experience. The staff was superb and the food was excellent. This is an expensive venture but everything, with the exception of some shore excursions, is included.
