Can not say enough GREAT things about the crew on this ship & trip. Especially Loreley, our fabulous Cruise Director ! It was our 1st river cruise and we booked through Brand G Vacations. Some of the categories below, Entertainment, Shore Excursions, Enrichment Activities, Value for Money ( all inclusive ) & portions of the Onboard Experience were to Brand G's credit. The staterooms ...

I recently returned from a week long voyage on the Rhine and the Moselle, from Amsterdam to Basel on board the Amadeus Silver III. A new ship. Build: 2016. 168 passenger (84 cabins) and 46 crew members. It was a fantastic experience in every way. We had a wonderfully sunny days and breathtaking scenery. The ship boasts a modern elegant décor. The multilingual crew members are friendly and ...

This is our first river cruise. We had done the inside passage to Alaska from Vancouver. We boarded the cruise in Amsterdam and disembarked in Budapest. Overall, we enjoyed the cruise. The restaurant staff were absolutely great. They always served us in friendly manner, attended to our needs and made us feel very welcome. I will give 110% for their service and friendliness. The cruise was ...

My wife and I have travelled extensively throughout Europe and have experienced other river cruises, and this was with the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The service, food and ambience aboard the Amadeus Silver II were excellent. We highly recommend the line. Our every expectation was fulfilled and the ships staff was superlative, and highly professional. Dining was a real treat ...

Excellent river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest. Ship very comfortable, food and staff Excellent. All destinations well worth the visits. Shore guides very knowledgeable. We were very fortunate to have fab weather, which makes all the difference to any holiday. The Gym was very small, but the majority of use were over 60 and not looking for that kind of exercise ! The sun deck had ...

This cruise fitted our timetable and needs as seniors. The package was - flights, full board and excursions. Our guide flew with us from Israel to Amsterdam where we got on a bus for a panoramic trip and later on to out embarkation in Utrecht. It was smooth. Cabins are small, carpet worn out, not enough sockets (only two) for todays' equipment. Food was plenty and tasty. The service in the dining ...

This is our second cruise on an Amadeus by Lueftner Cruise ship. This time we did the full Amsterdam to Budapest trip on the Rhine, Main, Main-Danube Canal and finally on the Danube. As background, my wife and I have done about 15 ocean cruises and are in our 60's. We went with a group of about 50. Most of the other passengers were affiliated with some group. The ship was beautiful with a ...

Ship is new so I can say that is nice place to stay. Food is very good especially desserts, they are very tasty. Shore excursions are good. Entertainment is also good. There are not to much activities on the ship but I didnt expect it to be, It is not ocean cruiser. Very bad hotel service, restaurant vaiters are very slow. I think that they have not enough vaiters, they dont speak German. Captain ...

We traveled from Amsterdam to Basil with a tour group, and were not given an opportunity to specifically book our cabin. We booked a Category 4 room. We were given room #234, next to the engine room. The noise was deafening and the vibration was huge. The ship traveled upstream and was at full throttle some nights. Even when it was traveling at normal speed throughout the night, there was a great ...

Beautiful Boat, Horrible Food, Rude Service

6-10 Cruises

Age 50s

The Queen is lovely, but the food and service is very low. Examples: The purser has no one and two dollar Euros for you to pay guides with. They had 30 cents, Euro, for the entire boat and would not ever tell you if they would be getting more. The check in people are rude, even a bid mean, and love to tell you no to even the simplest request. Most of the help is from Romania, but it felt very old ...
