Even before the cruise Tui behaved poorly. Tui claimed the Kremlin was shut due to an extra national holiday when in fact it is always shut on a Thursday. We cancelled that excursion as a trip to a convent really wasn't worth almost £700 per couple. I am still waiting for a response two months after submitting a written complaint about the misleading information. Not everyone was informed of ...
Facilities were poor. Smoking areas were a joke and people were treated like "the great unwashed". Eventually after a Petition was set up the Captain provided a covered smoking area (weather was not very good).
They announced it in the daily paper as an additional area, then proceeded to close the smoking area on the sunny deck
Day time entertainment was very poor considering the weather, ...
Cruise Review
This was our first cruise experience and we booked for two weeks to make the most of the long haul flight. The first week was the Caribbean Paradise Islands tour and the second week was the Caribbean Tropical delight tour.
Booking
The staff at the Tonbridge office were very helpful with organising our booking, but it became apparent that Tui has some work to do to ensure it ...
I chose this cruise only for the ports of call, which was then amended as the ship wasn't allowed in Puert Rico and US Virgin Islands. So we ended instead going to Tobago and Antigua yet again.
I normally say you get what you pay for and I certainly did not. I paid as a solo traveller and it was my 70th Birthday I would treat myself £4600 but I did have a small balcon but what I got for the ...
Had only been on one cruise before and that was on the Star Clipper. Thought we’d try a bigger ship to see if it would convert us to cruising. The Premiun Club service was excellent from start to finish and the whole luggage handling process was incredibly stress free. Our cabin was adequate, clean, had a balcony and we were well looked after by Adi our steward. The weather was mainly hot and dry ...
this was our first cruise for my husbands 60th birthday there was eight of us and i have to say totally disappointed with it all for what we paid everyone said you love it and you go again but certainly not with this company.Food was always warm the main restaurants was nothing to talk about then there was another one called 47 food was ok but always cold waiters was lovely the entertainment was ...
On the last night of the first week we were told that the destinations to St. Thomas and Puerto Rico had to be cancelled because US Authorities required the ship to be completely emptied to enable the Authorities to carry out the necessary check to allow port entry certification. This would have meant that Marella would have had to put the whole ships passengers and crew into a hotel for the ...
This was our honeymoon and something neither of us had ever done but due to people in general who had lots of experience cruising we went for it and unfortunately we were very disappointed.
We had deluxe cabin 7640, which was at the back of the ship lovely balcony. On arrival there was a very strong smell of sewerage this was reported and after and hour we were told that the cabin had been re ...
We have always been on Thompson all been very good. I did not have one cup of coffee that was hot had to ask them to put my cup in the micro wave. Food was all warm or cold. The entertainment team at night in the show lounge was brilliant. The rest of the entertainment was terrible. They had a girl singer with two men I don't know how she got in. Two fast in a song or had to keep looking down at ...
Having done several cruises with various companies including TUI Celebration (a great little ship full of fun and with great service), last April we booked with friends to spend Christmas on the Discovery. Back in October we did a late booking on the same ship, the last Med cruise before it headed off to the Caribbean. Expectations for the Christmas cruise were high and we just hoped that there ...
