Had only been on one cruise before and that was on the Star Clipper. Thought we’d try a bigger ship to see if it would convert us to cruising. The Premiun Club service was excellent from start to finish and the whole luggage handling process was incredibly stress free. Our cabin was adequate, clean, had a balcony and we were well looked after by Adi our steward. The weather was mainly hot and dry with a few showers and only one day of torrential rain( day at sea). The food, we thought was awful....much like canteen food in Islands and always hard to find a table. The two waiter service restaurants were more peaceful but the food remained uninspiring. We pain extr to go to eat twice in the Surf and Turf restaurant which was probably the best food on ship, though that’s not saying much. The Kora-La Asia restaurant (paid extra) was fine, basic curries-don’t go for the “dry” curries as they are exactly that. The Sushi restaurant (extra cost) was not nice at all. Our package was all inclusive but this did not include any premium brand drinks- though for an additional $50 a week one could add this package. Lots of sun bed hogging with some people reserving a bed in the shade each and also a bed in the sun. Very uncomfortable anyway. The outside cinema screen was not working for the first 10 days of our holiday.
We visited some lovely places, which we would love to return to on a hotel holiday, but are not cruise converts at all.
