Luxurious Cruise of the land of my ancestors

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Jupiter

I chose this cruise because it went everywhere I wanted to go - especially Norway and Berlin. What I didn't know was how blown away I would be by the the actual process of cruising. The ship was smaller than many cruise ships but had everything we needed or could possibly want. The cabin was roomy. The veranda was wonderful for watching the world go by, especially when leaving port. The dining was ...

My wife and I chose this voyage to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The viking homelands are about as far as you can get from Australia and are a part of the world we'd never seen but read so much about. For us to get to Stockholm to embark required 22 hours of actual flying time and together with stopover times, the journey took 31 hours all told. The old joke about you don't have to be ...

Incredible customer experience

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

It's difficult to capture the Ovation experience easily. But, in a word - sublime. There was no request that was too big or too small for them. We cruised as a party of four in Veranda Suite rooms. Our rooms were located aft near to the staircase, which is a lovely location. Highly recommended. Embarkation - this was effortless and enjoyable. We were met at the airport and had an easy ...

Wonderful Alumni Cruise

Ponant cruise lines chartered the Le Dumont D'Urville to Thomas P Gohagan & Co. who then marketed the Baltic Sea cruise primarily through college/university alumni offices, Smithsonian Journeys, National Trust for Historic Preservation, Philadelphia Council on World Affairs, etc. So the cruise passengers were members of the various alumni groups and marketing organizations and each of the ...

This cruise was a result of our excellent 2015 Grand European River cruise. We were impressed by the excellent service and attention to detail that is Viking's legacy. We decided to go on the Baltic cruise because of the reviews and responses from other Viking cruise passengers. We felt as though this cruise changed us from cruise passengers to members of the Viking family. As such, we have ...

First Time Cruiser • Age 60s

We chose Viking Cruises after watching a programme of there Homelands Cruise. We liked the size of the ship and the interior design. We decided on a 10 night cruise which seemed to be the best option for a first time cruise. We were very pleased with our cabin, which was large and included a balcony, also plenty of cupboards and a very good shower room. The restaurants were excellent, wine and ...

Elucidating Baltic Countries

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Sky

We chose the cruise based on the Itinerary, three days in St. Petersburg plus several other Baltic countries. Viking is an amazing cruise line; best of three lines we have sailed with: Seabourn, Regent, and Azamara. Excursions were well planned, outstanding really, except for Bornholm, which was a waste of time. We would also change the history lecturer (Hanseatic expert but not good at lecturing) ...

We chose this ocean cruise because of the itinerary and our past Viking River Cruise (Amsterdam to Budapest). This cruise was one of the very best travel experiences we have ever had (we have been on some very nice trips). Cruising for twenty two wonderful days with an incredible friendly and helpful crew along with good food and the best entertainment we have had in a very long time. We ...

We wanted to visit Russia and Scandanavia and we had heard wonderful things about Viking cruises. The ship was awesome, the crew were very good at their jobs and took very good care of us. Loved that there were no children on board. Embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly. Shore excursions were well organized and we received great instructions on how to meet up for our excursions. We ...

In 2015 we journeyed on the Grand European river cruise and within that short 15 day trip we fell in love with Vikings’ high level of hospitality and service. That cruise led us to the Majestic Fjords & Vibrant Russia Viking Ocean cruise on July 11, 2019 aboard the Viking Sky. This cruise was to celebrate our 52nd wedding anniversary and Viking made it the most impressive holiday that we have ...
