We chose Viking Cruises after watching a programme of there Homelands Cruise. We liked the size of the ship and the interior design. We decided on a 10 night cruise which seemed to be the best option for a first time cruise. We were very pleased with our cabin, which was large and included a balcony, also plenty of cupboards and a very good shower room. The restaurants were excellent, wine and beer included with lunch and dinner. Our cruise was Russia and the Baltic, we thoroughly enjoyed every port especially our two and a half days in St Petersburg, another highlight was Visby on the island of Gotland (very quaint). We joined in the included excursions, which were all very good and booked others, we loved our cycle tour on Bornholm.

The staff on the ship were all very pleasant and very good at their jobs, or cabin staff would always call us by our names which is a nice touch. We enjoyed the entertainment on board, the shows were really excellent.

We know that we have had a very good experience on Viking, the size of the ship suited us well, therefore we will be choosing them again on our next cruise, perhaps to Alaska

Cabin Review

Cabin Penthouse Veranda

We were really pleased with this category of cabin, it was large and very well designed. The bed was very comfortable, we appreciated our stocked mini bar, G & T's on the balcony were very pleasant. Cabin staff were really lovely and did there job very well.

good introduction to Stockholm

St. Petersburg

good intro to St Petersburg

Good intro to Tallinn, walking tour which at times was quite busy in some streets

Loved Visby, what a quaint small town. The tour gave us a good overview and then we had free time to explore on our own

Thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour
