Absolutely loved the destinations on this cruise and the excursions and shore visits were all wonderful. We also did the Hubbard Glacier Wilderness boat which was very expensive but worth every penny. The scenery was incredible and we saw a lot of wildlife en route including many whales. We would definitely do this destination again but probably wouldn’t choose Serenade. This ship is looking a ...
we were visiting friends in Tampa so decided to tack on this five day cruise. The only hassle was the requirement of a covid rapid test since CDC required that it be done within 2 days of sailing. But we got it done.
We are Diamond plus members but also have cruised on Norwegian, Carnival, Princess and Holland America, including a 7 day on the Carnival Pride out of Baltimore at the end of ...
Felt very safe on this cruise. Ship 45% full, many precautions taken, although I suspect the few children were the only ones on the cruise unvaccinated. Crew seemed ecstatic to be sailing again. As always, RCL does everything they can to meet your needs and make your vacation a success.
Negatives were all the shows were at 9:30pm! Movies were sparse, or shown outside in the 50 degree ...
Apologize for the length - short version - embarkation sucked, rest of the cruise was good/great, debarkation was excellent
Our cruise was initially canceled due to sailing out of Vancouver. They redid the schedule to sail from Seattle, canceled Skagway and added Ketchikan. Pre-cruise, my wife and I did three days in Seattle, never been there and had a wonderful time. It's a walkable city as ...
We chose this itinerary because of the wonderful ports and 4 days at sea, which we really enjoy. The weather was magnificent! Lots of “older citizens” on this trip! Wow! Many are demanding and quite cheap! Another issue is that the staff does not enforce the rule of not holding lounge chairs around the pool. If you want a chair, you need to get up before 7:00 am and go put your towels on a chair. ...
We picked this cruise for a couple of reasons:
The ports of call
Smaller ship
Less kids
The embarkation was quick. Disembarkation just as good. We booked the cruise shuttle to take us back to the airport which was one of the best decisions we made. The buses were right there to pick us up. Our buses were clearly marked.
Being a smaller ship there was less to do but easier to ...
We cruised on the Serenade of the Seas January 20-31, 2020 sailing from Ft. Lauderdale. The Port Everglades Cruise Terminals are only 10 minutes from the FLL airport and very convenient. We stayed at the Embassy Suites on 17th St the night before departure. Instead of taking the hotel shuttle to the ship, we took Uber which is less expensive and more convenient.
We chose this cruise ...
The cruise that we took had many stops. Every country we visited had lots of activities to choose from. They ship had several restaurants that you could choose from. We upgraded and bought the dining package which allowed us to eat at the Japanese restaurant and the Italian restaurant and the steak restaurant. We found that the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The ship was updated ...
Highly recommend spending the holidays on a cruise.
The ship was smaller than others I've taken, but we were able to meet people we would continue to see.
Food at Windjammer and main dining room was great, including Lobster night and Indian night. Entertainment was generally good, Deena from the Royal Caribbean entertainers, has an amazing voice. Also enjoyed Motown live, and the male ...
We were looking for a relaxing cruise with new and interesting ports for our family of 5 over the holiday season, and this was a great itinerary on a fantastic ship. There were a couple of hiccups and problems but otherwise it was a solid, fun, relaxing option.
1. Ship. The Serenade is not one of RCCI's new mega ships, but it's a well-laid out, charming space that punches above it's weight. We ...
