Royal Princess to Alaska Seattle round-trip was a great cruise. I went with a friend, her young son and her brother in early August. Embarkation was super easy, and I found the Blue Lane vs Green Lane to be a meaningless distinction, and picked up my medallion at the same desk as registration, and from getting out of the cab around 11am to being on board took less than 20 minutes.

I chose this cruise as an anniversary gift to us both. We wanted a more quiet, adult cruise. Less children. Smaller more quaint ship. The Eurodam gave us much of that. Our travel agent recommended us to go with Royal Princess for our Alaska cruise as they had the best itinerary. The excursions were great. Our 1st time on a cruise. Not real impressed with the physical condition of the ship.
It supposedly was remodeled or updated in 2015 but it doesn’t show it! Many places & common areas smell bad~like urine & old sour mop water! The pool towels and third viewing deck blankets smell like mildew ALL OF THEM EVEN AFTER MENTIONING TO GUEST SVS.!

We prefer a Holland America cruise ships because they cater more towards adults and not children. They don’t have any many activities for children like some of the other cruise lines do. The crew and staff on every Holland America ship I have ever been on are just wonderful

There is no BB King blues or Lincoln theater. There’s a rolling stone lounge and a billboard area. The world stage is pretty with truly locally choreographed entertainment. We chose this cruise to escape from Dallas where the temperatures are consistently three digit. It was our first Princess cruise, our second Alaska cruise, and about our 25th ocean or river cruise. Chose this cruise as a bucket list trip. Arrived to a balcony room that was dirty - fingermarks on mirrors, glass and cabinets. Wiped out the drawers before putting clothes away.
