Dismal experience!

Review for Norwegian Sun to Alaska

Travel with Alan had a killer deal on a 21 day Panama trip. Ok, where to start: Soaked cabin floor, had to move. Likely black mold! They tried to fix it by blowing hot air around the cabin! Moved to worse cabin location at the very aft of the ship. Heavy rocking and vibrations. Forced to move during Panama lock run Missed two hours of Panama Canal Screaming balcony door all night Rattling ...

We wife and I booked this cruise as a getaway! We live in South Florida and flew to Seattle for the 20 day cruise back to Miami. We upgraded to a balcony suite. Bigger room and balcony, but all the suites on the 11th floor are the noisiest on the whole ship! Your underneath the Spinnaker Lounge which goes on until 11PM and the maintainable work goes in until 12.30 AM, but that’s not the ...

what a disappointment

Review for Eurodam to Panama Canal & Central America

Holland America use to have the best service and food that you could want. It has been downgraded so much it is sad. Now only the service remains a plus. That is by the crew, not necessarily the officers. The food is mediocre, the organization is lacking and just about everything has been downgraded. I am a 4 star mariner and have happily cruised many times with Holland America. It is sad to ...

20 day transit from Vancouver to Ft. Lauderdale through the Panama Canal. This was our 30th HAL cruise, we are both 5 star mariners. Neptune Suite. Our boarding time was 10:00 am (priority boarding for Neptune Suite guests). We got to the Vancouver terminal at 10 am. Waited about 30 minutes before baggage screening opened. Ushered to another waiting area where we waited another 30 ...

As a three-star Mariner, I was really looking forward to my first post-Covid journey ... 20 days, from Vancouver BC through the Panama Canal to Fort Lauderdale ...but this is the lowest rating I have ever given a HAL cruise. The Eurodam is a beautiful, subdued-toned traditional cruise ship, with comfortably furnished public areas and lounges : the garish neon reserved for the casino. There are ...

This has to be the worst cruise I’ve been on.

Review for Westerdam to South Pacific

This was a 51 day cruise and has been terrible with rubbish entertainment and now on the New Zealand part we have repeated entertainment, even the trivia has the same questions! Don’t waste your money!! A penny pinching cruise line with many cancelled ports. BB kings perform the same songs nightly which gets very boring after a while. The food in the restaurants is very basic with an option to pay ...

Holland America Covid

Review for Westerdam to Alaska

We got a deal on this cruise because they canceled their Tokyo/Vancouver cruise in 2020 because of Covid. The deal was a $750 credit for both of us plus beverage package. The cruise was actually 9/25 to 10/2/2022 round trip from Seattle. (The transpacific crossing in this review heading was actually the following week from 10/2 to?? but Cruise Critic was a bit off.) The $750 deal expired ...

Convenience was the reason for this cruise., sailing out of down town Seattle.Check in involved 4 check points, sometimes repeating what was previously done. It took our group nearly 4 hours to check in & board! This is a ship with some age Our rooms were on the small side. The air quality poor as the Airconditioming struggled to cover the room. Bathrooms very small. Dining room ...

Review for Crown Princess to Alaska

This was my husband's and my honeymoon and our travel agent had arranged for extras for our stateroom. When we arrived NOTHING had been done. Also, while the room was kept up, it was like a hotel, no animals or anything made out of towels, bed wasn't turned back, no extras as with other cruises. The buffet food was so undesirable it was known by the people on the ship as the "trough"! The food ...

Amazing 7 days of pampering on Holland Eurodam to Alaska from Seattle

We sailed in two veranda staterooms 4132 port and 4133 starboard on the September 10th. It was nice to be able to move to the side of the ship with the wildlife sightings or the view. My husband, 30ish daughter and I really enjoyed the excellent service. I am just going to cut to the chase with the bad and good. The not so good... The Lido is confusing where to be standing in line! ...
