The ship was really old and our inside cabin on deck 3 was full of mold in the bathroom. The interior was from the 80’s and looked really dull.
The service was great though and the restaurants was really nice with awesome service from the waiters. The Theater was also ok and provided various of artists, real proffesional ones.
The solarium was humid but not that warm at all, which was a ...
After more than 50 cruises (even because I am a retired ship auditor), this was my first crossing, which we decided to take because my son-in-law is one of the ship's officers and my daughter and grandson were together on this trip.
We boarded the ship at Rome-Civitavecchia and disembarked at Miami 13 days later.
I've been on board this ship many times for shipboard audits and I know well ...
We wanted to experience a few days in Rome before boarding the ship for our trip back to Miami. Ezplorer is one of our favorite ships. Perfect size and great service. Our favorite cruise director, Hello Clo and our favorite head waiter, Gianni were there to greet us when we boarded. We took early dining and had the best waiter and assistant waiter. Artha and Ayu--married from Bali. The lecture ...
Lots of odd things brought this cruise down starting with the rather strange layout of the ship, the change to main dining times with both being brought forward 30 minutes, the very noisy main dining rooms thanks to the DD layout and of course the redirection of the ship due to hurricane Tammy. Boarding at Southampton was efficient as ever, Vigo was wet, I stayed on in Lisbon, the Canary Island ...
PREFACE
Although this is mostly a review of anthem of the seas and excursions taken during the cruise, i have included information on activities pre-cruise. The information about the land-based portion are integral to the trip because you may visit one or more of those locations before or during a cruise you take. I hope the information provided throughout this article will be helpful to you. ...
I took Anthem of the Seas on a repositioning cruise from New York to Southampton on May1, 2023. A repositioning cruise is a bit different from a standard Caribbean cruise, as there are many more sea days. My cruise had seven - which is admittedly a long time to go without seeing land. Repositioning cruises have a cult following, with many repeat cruisers who do nothing but take the cruise - and ...
I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that the cruise itself was OK. I say surprised because 2 Royal cruises were on last year were pretty bad. On this cruise food in the MDR was ok, not great but acceptable. A couple of misses but in general OK. I was concerned that they removed the always offered items however we were always able to find something. I even thought the coffee was OK.

We needed a transatlantic ride to the Greek Islands, where we disembarked.
Cabin care was excellent. The steward worked 24/7, which indicates low staffing.
Fixed time dining service was excellent. The wait staff were in rapid motion all evening, again low staffing.
Breakfast and lunch in the dining room was quite poor. The staff seemed to have little knowledge of American and British ...
This is our forth transatlantic so we know what to expect. From day one there have been uncalled for and primarily unapologetic things that have gone wrong. It was a back to back and on the second leg they kept us in the theater 3 hours because they couldn’t find the new sea pass cards. Management was very unaccomidating in the dining room. They were short staffed and would not combine a table of ...
This was our second Royal Caribbean Transatlantic crossing and what a contrast. Our 2018 trip was a real pleasure. This November 2022 cruise was plagued by mistakes. Almost every day there were last minute changes, conflicting and often duplicate scheduling of events on the ship. Repeatedly, crew made no seating or staging preparations for events. The Cruise Campus was a mess. Examples: Oe ...
