Overall, this was an outstanding cruise! The various ports we visited ( Copenhagen, Tallinn, St. Petersburg, Helsinki, Stockholm and Skagen) were far beyond our expectations.
St Petersburg was definitely the highlight of this cruise. We used a private tour company (Red October) and we were extremely happy with guide and driver...Dimitry and Uri. We highly recommend the RC excursion to the ...
This cruise had two classes of passenger and it was nothing to do with how much you paid but on which countries passport you used. A US passport gave you first class service and priority over other guests European passport holders were second or even third class.
The meal service was extremely slow and it took over 2 hours to have a meal, one problem was that the Americans had 4 course meals ...
This was our third cruise on the radiance class. We have previously sailed on the radiance and the jewel of the seas. I had read here on cc that the brilliance had recently undergone a refurbishing. What i found was storeroom tables that looked like they had been brought over from other ships, outdated lavatory, missing guardrail in the solarium. So much for refurbish.. The staff at guest ...
Harwich made an excellent departure port being not too far to drive from home. 25 minutes car park to cabin equals speedy embarkation, something RCI seem to excel at. This was our first time on a Radiance Class ship and we were impressed having a few weeks earlier been on Anthem of the Seas.
The cabin an inside on deck 8 was spacious and kept clean by an excellent steward.
We had selected ...
Our cruising experience is fairly limited and this was our first time with R.C. Our last cruise was with P and O and so we naturally drew comparisons between the two.
We had an inside cabin, which we thought was quite spacious and no problem for the 12 nights. We chose the 'my time' dining option which was not particularly successful, in that we were asked to make a reservation, and then when ...
This was our first time to do the Baltic itinerary, our fifth cruise on Brilliance, and our 32 RCCL cruise. We are Diamond Plus C&A members and so we know our way around pretty well and know some of the staff from previous cruises. We loved all of the ports and had tours planned in Tallinn, Estonia and St Petersburg, Russia. We did our own touring in the other cities. More about all that later in ...
We were a party of Seven 5 adults and two children. This was our first trip on this ship, but our 3rd with Royal Caribbean. All the RC Ships are well designed and standards of hygiene amazing. Majority of the staff bend over backwards to accommodate you, if something is not to your liking they are more than happy to bring you another or action your requirements. Our room 7504 was always kept clean ...
Having done a repositioning cruise on a different cruise line a few years ago, which is still our favorite of 11 cruises, we chose this one because of the itinerary. We were a group of 8 family and friends. We booked 2 nights at the Westminster Doubletree in London and were very pleased with the hotel and its location. Breakfast was included in our rate and was excellent. The bus to the cruiseport ...
We enjoyed our cruise on this ship. We entered quickly and got to our room easily. The wind jabber dining room had a wide selection of foods that should have fit any ones taste. What I noticed was the number of staff to help. Also I noticed higher staff checking on all food, waiters, and helping out when needed. They visited with cruisers asking what they needed and how they were enjoying the food ...
We took the train from Liverpool St Stn. Direct to Harwich, total journey time approx 90 minutes. Preferred the direct route as the alternative, slower train involves a change at Manningtree and a hike to another platform involving stairs , a tunnel and more stairs. Unhelpful staff at this stop and your now set up for an unpleasant start to your cruise.
Harwich terminal is an antiquated set up, ...
