This ship is very old and outdated. Poor condition, rust on bathroom wall and the balcony area. The interior was old and worn out and not very appealing as it was dark and dreary. While inside the ship during the day you felt like it was nightime. the food was just average with limited places to eat lunch or breakfast. We chose this cruise because it was a great price and we loved the ports prior to the transatlantic crossing. Here are some bullet points of our disappointment:
When I entered my stateroom there was duct tape on the vent in the shower room and the toilet room.

We had a Silver Suite - spacious, clean and reasonably comfortable. Our butler (Ronaldo) was superb. And the Voices of Silversea (singers) were exceptional.
BUT this is not 6* luxury cruising, and they have clearly taken a corporate decision to cut costs wherever they can. For example:

This was supposed to be an “Ultra Luxury cruise with a sophiticated ambience with like minded travellers”. Instead Silversea sold two group bookings so that out of a maximum capacity when full of 380 passengers over 270 were group bookings. The larger group was over 220. Not at all interested in Royal Caribbean's big ship activities. I'm not into sky diving, surfing, rock climbing or zip lining so I figured the 2000 person Rhapsody would be a good choice I like the smaller ships. Not good choice at all.

Things that I didn’t like about Rhapsody of the Sea:
Food- Food tasted like hospital food - it actually came out on the same type of covered plate they give you in a hospital.
They brought fresh squeezed OJ to your table at breakfast, but you had to pay $5.50 for a glass- otherwise you got some other OJ??
Always ran out of coffee at breakfast buffet in morn.

My wife and I are aged 60 and love cruising having been on 14 cruises with various lines. We are out to enjoy ourselves, up early, stay up till the bars close and usually come home worn out, but not on this cruise.
