We booked this cruise in 2019 and finally got to go in April 2022. Our trip started well with a negative Covid test before embarkation. "Viking Mimir" was beautiful, comfortable and overall accommodating. Our cabin and staff were perfect from day 1. The public areas were immaculate and the facilities first class. The restaurant and food was all wonderful as was the chef and his staff.

The ship itself wasn’t completed. The cabins weren’t ready of finished, the decks outside were still being finished and had contractors working night and day. Issues with machines in laundry, gang planks weren’t working, the list goes on .

We eagerly awaited our Tauck family trip as we had an extremely positive experience in the past. This river cruise was completely spoilt by choice of cabin. Whilst service, food and excursions all matched expectations, our very expensive cabin was dreadful. Overall the cruise was very disappointing. Due to the low water in the Rhine, the ship was not able to dock at any of the ports on the itinerary.
