Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Regal Princess

We have cruised Europe many times, but, not to Greece, Turkey or Montenegro. We have now!! We arrived in Barcelona, our 3rd visit, a day before our cruise and stayed at the Ramblas Hotel. Enjoyed the afternoon walking through the Gothic District and people watching. The Ramblas was comfortable and convenient and served a good complimentary breakfast. Our embarkation on the ship, was the ...

Good cruise, good itinerary

We spent 3 days in Barcelona prior to the cruise. Highly recomend that if you are boarding a cruise in Barcelona that you spend a few days and enjoy this beautiful city. Embarkation was a breeze only took about 20 minutes to go through security and board the ship. The Emerald princess has been remolded since the last time we were on it, it looks good with the updates. We had a cabin on deck 10 ...

Mixed review but still an enjoyable experience

We definitely enjoyed our cruise on the Emerald and we will be returning for the February cruise in the Pacific. Several of the shore tours were outstanding. I’m especially referring to the tours on Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Ponta Delgada in the Azores. Since we have visited these islands on previous cruises we know there are several excellent tours from which to select. Cartagena and Malaga ...

Cruising single

This is the first trip on my bucket list. All of my excursions were fantastic with the exception of Adajjacio (Corsica). Nothing was open, and had not been open for awhile. The staff on board is so friendly and helpful. If you are single, beware there was no single activities scheduled the second 11 days of the trip (after many passengers left and new ones came on board). The first 11 days, ...

Enjoyed stops not the food

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Emerald Princess

We chose this cruise because of itinerary and the flight included package. Loved the stops. The ship was great except for food. I am not a fish or seafood eater so I found limited choices for me in the dining room. I am a fussy eater so I thought just me but after sitting with others in dining room, they too, were disappointed. There were very few kids on this cruise so pools were good but I would ...

Six amazing days and then there was Livorno.

On the whole this was a fantastic cruise. Gibraltar, Marseille, Genova, and even Pisa (once you manage to leave the port of Livorno) were all fantastic. I can highly recommend the itinerary. Buffet areas were busy but we always managed to find a table for the four of us. Food was good, generally no complaints, although they were running out of basics like honey and muesli by day 5 and the ...

We wanted to see some of Europe and this looked to be a great way to see a lot of the places we wanted to see and cruising is one of the best ways to holiday. unpack once and let them take you to the places you want to see. The ship is very welcoming lots to do well set out very clean. Was impressed with the food on board especially the dining room, all food groups were catered with. service ...

Barcelona to Rome

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Crown Princess

This was our 4th cruise with Princess, but this was the first time where we had difficulty obtaining a seat in the Horizon dining area due to people placeing objects on chairs and tables to reserve seats for others that were not even in the Dining area at all. Walking shore excursions were somewhat rushed although very factual for the time we had. Tenders were great with the exception of one which ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Crown Princess

User Avatar

Good service, food and entertainment but public areas need new upholstery- old, stained and grimy. The excursions were enjoyable except for the “foodie walking tour of Naples”. We paid a lot for tiny portions eaten on our feet. Walk around on your own. Our foodie tour in Rome was much better. Toni Brancatisano did an excellent job of showing us her local places. Our archeology tour in Santorini ...

CROWN PRINCESS October 2-13th, 2018 Barcelona to Rome I am an Elite cruiser, and this is my 12th voyage on Princess, 1st time on Crown Princess. Crown Princess was launched in 2006, with a considerable refit in 2017. Overall solid business class condition, the food and entertainment consistent and good standard. Firm and favorable recommendation to anyone wanting a good quality, big ship ...
