The room and wait staff were excellent as always. I was on this ship when it was the latest and greatest. Unfortunately not so much anymore. The balcony was in need of paint....rust showing, carpet worn, cabinets so-so. It is going in for an update, so RCCL is addressing the situation. The price was great, so no real complaints. Production shows were good, ice show great, Trivia OK when you could ...
We sailed on the Enchantment of the Seas on Aug 25th on a 4 night cruise. I have sailed three Disney cruises (fantastic but costly), one Carnival Cruise (Sensation....never again!) and Royal Carib Liberty of the Seas (loved it!!) A little background were a family of 4, hubby, wife, (in our 30's) and 11 year old son and 7 year old daughter. We are from New York, take one big vacation a year, but I ...
We just got home from 7 beautiful days in the Caribbean . The weather was gorgeous, the ship was beautiful. We had an aft balcony room and would choose that again. The embarkation process in port canaveral was ridiculous! No fault of carnival, the terminal was jam packed with people, 3 large ships were doing the same thing at the same time, and they could not control the traffic!
The best parts ...

Went on cruise 11/24/12 on the Carnival Dream! Ship was very clean and cabin attendant was fantastic. The food on this ship was a step above other carnival ships I have been on, steakhouse was great and if u go on first night u get a free bottle of wine, I prefer cab but got Merlot not gonna complain about that at least it was a free bottle. The food bars around the ship are just ok, but one was ...
We have previously traveled on NCL and really enjoyed ourselves. We have never sailed with RCCL before but, we heard many wonderful things, so we decided to try Freedom Of The Seas. That was the first mistake.
EMBARKING:
When we embarked at 11AM, we were told our stateroom would be ready by 3 PM, it wasn't ready until 5PM and there was no announcement to let us know our room was ready. It ...
Great value; we enjoyed every moment of this vacation. All of the personnel aboard the Sun are friendly and professional. This was an excellent value and the trip, crew, food and ease of freestyle cruising and even our fellow cruise passengers exceeded our expectations. We never had to wait for dining (we do eat on the late side) and appreciated that the hostess greeted us by name.
The ...
We (DH-42, DS -11, and me - 43) sailed on the FOS on the 8/7/11 sailing. This was our 5th cruise, previously having sailed on RCCL, Carnival and Celebrity. We chose the FOS for the itinerary as well as the activity options on the ship. Prior to embarking we spent alot of time on the CC boards, planning our time, pre-booking our own excursions, and reserving shows and activities on the ship - I ...
This was a 24 night cruise (15 night repositioning and 9 nights in the Baltics).Embarkation was very quick and easy.We had an oceanview cabin that was so small, that the bed was positioned in front of our window. Unless we wanted to climb on the bed, we had no view. We had about 6 inches of space between the bed and the walls, so getting we had to walk sideways to get into and out of bed. The ...
I took my second cruise with Carnival in March of 2011, visiting four ports total. The Carnival Dream is very similar to the rest of Carnival's fleet, but it doesn't seem to carry its size very well at all. I'd read prior reviews about the ship rocking a lot, and at first I just assumed the reviewers were prone to motion sickness. Well, they were right. It wasn't terrible, but I would not ...
