We are experienced cruisers with 16 cruisers under our belt. We aren't really loyal to any brand and have done Royal Caribbean, Carnival and NCL cruises over the last 29 years. We are a couple in our 50's and we like to be entertained, good food and nice ports.

Pre-Cruise - We flew from BWI to Orlando on Avelo Airlines. (Avelo Airlines was a huge mistake, all kinds of issues including being left in Orlando to fend for ourselves when they canceled our return flight, just don't do it, fly a real airline.)

We rented a car from Avis since we arrived two days early. We booked through Costco and got a good rate, about $100 per day including tax. Way more expensive than before the pandemic, but about average post pandemic. We returned the car in Port Canaveral Avis, it was very smooth with a free port shuttle. We stayed at Homewood Suites Port Canaveral. It was a nice hotel, good for a night or two with standard Hilton service. Coco beach is just ok, there's a nice beach, lots of shops and eating places. A bonus is that you might get to see a rocket launch, which we did and it was awesome.
