If you treat them like they are mere servants - you will receive lesser quality service. This was our first NCL cruise, we chose it purely for the itinerary, all the other Fjord cruises were 7 days only. All our previous cruises have been with P&O. Embarkation was very good, arrived at 11.05 & was onboard by 11.50, a lot less chaotic than with P&O!

Embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly at Southampton, we arrived quite early (about 10.30am) and were onboard enjoying lunch by 12. Disembarkation took no more than 30 mins after leaving our cabin.

Very good value. Excellent service.Wine could be better the by the glass selection poor.The main dining room food was really good while I bought some of the specialty restaurants there was no need.

The cruise was fine. The Garden Cafe was too crowded. Food selections were good but too many people - bumping into each other, few choices of places to sit. Other dining rooms OK. Specialty restaurants: We only went to La Cucina, twice, which was good, but few customers the times we were there. Needs better availability advertised. Evening shows in Stardust Theater were good. Service great on the Jade. Food was good however they have cut back a bit on the menus in specialty restaurants. What they have is still very good. Entertainment was ok but the "Showtime Band" was excellent & best Ive ever seen on a cruise ship. The Iconcierge app was not well managed on this ship as it is on the larger ones. Frequently info there was incomplete or incorrect.

We were on the Jade in June 2017 after the refurbishment. Had sailed on the Jade in the Mediterranean in 2015. Absolutely loved the new colours - more earthy tones which were definitely easier on the eyes compared to the loud Hawaiian motifs previously. We have been on most of the major cruise lines . Celebrity is our favorite with Norwegian a close 2nd . Celebrity is a little more upscale where Norwegian is more relaxed but still a solid cruise .
