The Spirit appealed to me in many respects. It is small, comfy and has many aspects of a traditional ocean liner rather than a floating resort. The crew was a delight. I sailed on her in 2016 and 2018 prior to her 100 million dollar refit. We were excited to try a new ship and new cruise route. First thing we noticed when going to our cabin was there were no fish swimming forward on the carpet! That is a staple on all NCL ships except this one. Minor detail but it helps at the end of a long day to help get you back to your cabin when you are exhausted.

We saw this trip and figured it would round out what we wanted to see in South American. There was some concern as the messages on CC said there was a possible problem with the ship's engines on the previous voyage (reverse of this one).
