So with 90+ cruises under our belts the last and only NCL cruise was with NCL Epic almost ten years ago. We don’t have to go into why Epic is such an Epic failure, but Prima is a true winner. Since the cruise restart we’ve been on 10+ cruises including Oceania and Regent. Food wise nothing really beats Oceania, but now NCL is a close second. Some of the dishes on board was truly stunning. Food is ...
Let me start by saying we are not very experienced cruisers, so we don't have much comparison data. We booked this cruise to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. The last cruise we took was on our honeymoon, 20 years earlier. Our decision to go with Norwegian was primarily because of the interesting and diverse itinerary, but to us, the absolute best part of the trip was the wonderful staff. ...
Even though we had been on the Dawn four times already, we chose this cruise for the itineraries and therefore went on the Dawn again. We did not have high expectations because it’s an older ship. Thankfully we were wrong. The ship was half empty. We were upgraded to a Haven cabin. Our butler was amazing. His name was Cipriano. He brought us food whenever we asked made sure we had enough towels ...
We booked last minute, so right price, right ports and right ship
Overall very impressed, but let me break it down.
The entertainment was varied, highlight being FUNKY ROOTS who entertained for everyone, the shows were a mixed bag, a late night comedian would of been great, also Ge Luz who played some great music in Atrium.
The cabin was small, with a bunk bed taking half of the room ...
We initially chose the cruise for the itinerary from Amsterdam which included British Isles,Norway, Normandy and Belgium. We did a combination of NCL excursions and private excursions and all met or exceeded our expectations with special note to all 3 excursions in Norway(the majestic fjords were breathtaking), the tour at Giants Causeway with Nigel of Daria ( best 6 pounds I ever spent) and ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary and had sailed previously on the Pearl and knew we loved this ship. We enjoyed every detail of every day onboard the Pearl! From our captains ( Captain Paul went on vacation mid cruise and Captain Gio took over), General Manager (Cary Turecamo, who showed us such kindness and kept all aspects of the ship running smoothly), Jana (Group Sevice Coordinator), ...
This cruise was round trip from Amsterdam and one of our favorite itineraries. It was easy to get to pier on your own and in the city center which allowed easy access to pre and post cruise time exploring the city. We stayed at the Airport Sheraton which had convenient train access to the city for around 5.5 euros. Nice hotel - great accommodations and very quiet. We checked in and headed to ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary and the dates, and also because we have always enjoyed cruising with NCL. We started out our 2 week European cruise with a few nights in Amsterdam before we departed on the cruise ship. We enjoy exploring cities, either before or after our cruises. Just adds another dimension to our trips. The embarkation process was probably the easiest we have ...
This was a great cruise with an exceptional itinerary. Although NCL could not control the weather, I am sure they would like to take credit for 13 days of "beyond exceptional" weather with temps ranging in the upper 50s, 60s to low 70s on many days, along with blue skies, and only 1 day of rain that happened to be on a sea day, so no big deal. There were some hurdles and issues we had to deal with ...
First time on NCL and everything was great. Easy embarkation and disembarkation. Restaurants, bars, our cabin and most of the Staff were everything we were expecting. We went with another couple who had recommended NCL to begin with. We at twice at Cagney's Steakhouse and Le Bistro. We had everything from snails to steak and it was delicious each time. We had booked a number of shore ...
