An Amazing Time!!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Sunshine

I loved the itinerary right from the start. The cruise director, Emma, was amazing and funny and really made us feel connected to all the exciting activities that were happening on the ship. The crew was great and the ship itself was clean. The diner crew were fun especially with the fun dancing and goodbye song (which made me cry). I couldn't been happier on this vacation!! Both of my ...

This ship is very beautiful but, they have made the balcony cabins so small, there's hardly any room to move around. You have to back up to close the bathroom door. They Punchliners comedy club has been cut in half and it's no longer called the punchliner. There is no longer a second upstairs dinning area. The Liquid Theater is fabulous, Only thing wrong is the extra cold air spewing from ...

In celebration of my sister-in-law's 50th birthday, my brother was able to rally 38 (ages 6-69) of us to go away on a cruise together. Her birthday was August 17th so we chose a cruise that would sail during her birthday week and leaving out of NY, as all of us live in the NY/NJ area. The Carnival Sunshine was my 10th cruise. I had been on Carnival 4 times previously and on RCCL 5 times. I had ...

Other than the weather great first cruise. I really don't see why people complain so much about the Sunshine. I only stood in line twice - once for pizza after a show and once at the deli when they were changing over the lido buffet and there was no other option. Our room stewards were awesome. Just my husband and I celebrating our 25th and we had a great time. The only down side was the ...

Boat was rocky, my daughter was nauseous and I was having a hard time getting some green apple, After several days of giving her motion sickness pills. Due to the hurricane in San Juan we weren't able to stop which was okay, however the accommodations was grossly horrible. The spa and other on board activities added for the Extra day of sea cost Extra more money. They didn't even try to stop at ...

We wanted to do a new itinerary that we hadn't done before so we tried this one. We loved the ship and the service was fantastic. We traveled with our 2 teenagers and hardly saw them at all. We all ate in the Main dining room every night and it was fantastic, service and food. The cabin was on the smaller side for 4 of us but we knew that going in and we made it work, no one got hurt! We ...

As a happy grandma who loves to cruise, I decided to introduce some family members to this fun pastime. My husband’s son, his wife and their 2 kids picked this itinerary, and we joined them - my daughter, her husband, their 2 kids, and of course my husband and me. We also added 3 friends (family with one child) for a total of 8 adults and 5 kids, ages 7 to 12. My son in law was skeptical as he is ...

First cruise - The crowds bothered me

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Carnival Sunshine

Our embarkment day and the first full day at sea were very rainy, foggy, and COLD. As a result, we could not really use the outdoor areas. This made the inside of the ship feel CROWDED. The crew did their best to keep everybody happy, but with so many people packed in there, it was difficult. My main criticisms were 1) The walkways into the dining room are very congested. 2) The swimming ...

I have only gone on one cruise prior to my trip on Carnival Sunshine. This was my first time traveling with Carnival and I can truthfully say, very likely to be my last. I am not a difficult person to please and when I read some of the reviews on this site, I thought we would be just fine because we had realistic expectations of the cruise. Unfortunately, this cruise did not meet my ...
