Awesome Cruise, Amazing Cruise Director and Staff

Review for Carnival Sunshine to Caribbean - Southern

Loved my vacation. We had a spa balcony cabin at the front of deck 10. You could definitely feel the movement more here than other cabins I have sailed in before. The room seemed a bit smaller than the other rooms but was decorated beautifully. The cabin steward kept our room in tip top shape and emptied out the mini-fridge for us to store our own drinks. No room issues at all except the phone ...

Carnival Sunshine (It's relative)

As I sit on my balcony here in Saint Thomas, I laugh to myself. If you asked me three days ago how I felt about the Sunshine I wold have rated it 2/5. Since we have changed cabins our experience and comfort have increased. It's all relative. Our cabin we booked, 5346, was an aft extended balcony. Since day one we noticed a foul odor that smelt like grease and oil coming through our a/c vents. It ...

Carnival Sunshine Funship 2.0 Makeover - Love it

Loved the Sunshine - it has lots of fun things to do, like a pretty intense ropes course (try doing that while on a moving ship :). There is mini golf, great movies on the big screen on the Lido deck every night with free popcorn, and TONS of deck chairs and even couches and hammocks and cool clamshell loungers in the adult Serenity are which is HUGE - 3 decks! They also had several great comedy ...

Hi, we have been on over 70+ cruises and are not fussy people. We have enjoyed Carnival in the past and since this was going to Aruba and Curaco we thought okay it has just been revamped. This is the worst designed ship I have ever been on - worse than the NCL Majesty after adding more cabins. They have added many cabins but have done things that even I can't understand. Jogging track goes over ...

Cruise Experience second time around in less than a year not quite so

Hello. Let me start by saying that I am a avid cruiser and I choose to cruise with Carnival frequently. I am a Platinum member and love all the perks that come with it. I simply LOVE CARNIVAL. Well, this past cruise on the Carnival Sunshine was not as pleasant, as I wanted it to be. My husband and I were on the Carnival Sunshine last September on a Mediterranean cruise from Barcelona, Spain and ...

Disappointed!!!

This was our 19 cruise 5 of which were on Carnival. This is the first one on the Carnival Sunshine. I, like others thought the negative reviews were just from people who had it in for Carnival for one reason or another. Well, we should have taken the reviews to heart. The stateroom was an interior room and was actually larger than we thought it would be. We had several problems there... the ...

Not Impressed with the Sunshine

This was our 3rd cruise. We had read many bad reviews about the Sunshine, but we decided to book it anyhow because we know people will complain about the smallest things. Well, this time the bad reviews were right. The sewage smell on the 4th floor where the Picture gallery is was so bad at times, we couldn't go see our photos for a couple of days. Going down to the gangway to get off the ship in ...

We enjoyed the Sunshine

My husband and I sailed on the Sunshine on 3/30/14. We had a scenic ocean view room right above the bridge. Our views were wonderful. We had FTTF so were taking pictures in our cabin before 11:30am and all unpacked long before muster. Our vacation felt like it officially started a few hours earlier than without it. We're from Wisconsin and had a terribly cold and snowy winter so this cruise was ...

Fun Times on the Sunshine!

Review for Carnival Sunshine to Caribbean - Western

Let me start this review with there are several poor reviews of this ship on this site as well as Carnival’s site, not sure what ship these people were on, the Sunshine is fabulous! Arrived to NOLA 1 day early and stayed at the Hilton Riverside which worked out well. Walking distance to Bourbon street and only 5 minute car ride to port parking. Embarkation went very smoothly, arrived at port ...

Carnival Sunshine… Great Cruise but…

Review for Carnival Sunshine to Caribbean - Western

Just returned home last night from a 7-night cruise on the Sunshine to the western ports of Montego Bay, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. This was a family and friends cruise for us over spring break with 13 people in our group. Overall it was a great cruise – primarily because of the people we were with. Many in our group had never cruised before, so it was great doing things with them and seeing ...
