Oceania is well-known as the upper premium class cruise line with excellent gourmet food. indeed, the appearance of the buffet restaurant could compete with fine dining serviced restaurants on other vessels. WE chose the Baltic cruise because we liked the itinerary and wanted to try Oceania Cruiseline. We like the smaller ships and this fit the need. The ship itself is well maintained and the common areas are nice. I am a blackjack player so I did enjoy the casino on this ship.

Three days in St Petersburg is what drew us to this particular cruise. From the moment we stepped on board, we felt like family.

This was two ports in Scotland, three in Ireland plus Iceland and Greenland and Fareo islands. The North Atlantic was rough but we endured. We knew the smaller 55 thousand ton ship would have pluses and minuses, so our expectations were met.

Recognizing that at any given time, the Wait Staff on a cruise ship is almost always in flux, we got the feeling many of the staff had just reported in for their first contract. HMCSBN nailed it on the crush for a table and the problems in the main dining room.

Oceania performed as expected. The food was amazing, the ports of call were wonderful and the entertainment was very good. We thought Cory "from the bridge" did a wonderful job as cruise director.
