Me and my family recently embarked on an MSC cruise to Bermuda, and unfortunately, my overall experience was a bit disappointing. Here's a breakdown of my journey:
Buffet Challenges:
Navigating the buffet felt like a scavenger hunt for necessities. The constant shortage of cups and silverware turned every meal into a frustrating ordeal. It was disheartening to witness guests battling for ...
The cruise was supposed to go to Bermuda. I get it. Itinerary can change, but we found out at check in. They claim due to weather. Weather was bad going to the boring alternative of Port Canaveral and Nassau. Service was terrible. Staff was rude and inattentive. Food was mediocre. MDR was the worst service and food was cold. Cruise crew was nowhere to be found accept for nightly entertainment. ...
Traveled with a group of about 16 people. First time on MSC cruise usually travel on NCL or Carnival. The house keeper that cleaned my cabin was awesome. Dinning room host didn't seem pleasant. To me I felt dinning staff shrugged off my food allergy so was very worried about eating on the ship. What food I did receive was cold.
I'm also a little more conservative and never experienced ...
It was a good value for a break to see Bermuda and we are both fit and in our 60's. We had never seen Bermuda before.
I recommend taking the ferry near Wall Street to the Red Hook stop ($4 each way per person) that is very close to the ship and the Brooklyn Terminal building. I have traveled on RCL and HAL and once on Cunard. The ship is a beautiful very glitzy chrome and Italian modern ship ...
For the price, there was nothing special about this cruise line and this cruise. It is worth it if you are only looking for an experience, but lower your expectations. I was double charged for wifi and have been in contact with customer service since 2023 to get a refund check that has yet to arrive. It has been more than 6 months. I was charged extra fees a day after the cruise ended, such as a ...
This cruise was our 50th wedding anniversary celebration. We sailed in the Yacht Club category. Overall, we had a good time (not a great time), but as usual the lasting impression was the last impression.
We pre-booked a post-cruise excursion that would give us a drive-by tour of Rome before dropping us off at the airport. We were expecting them to handle our luggage, see the sites and ...
Cruised with MSC Divina on 23 day Caribbean cruise. That is how it was sold to us. However, we later found out it was two cruises in one, returning to Miami after the first 10 days. On the second leg, everything was duplicated. The entertainment, the trivia quiz, the jokes .. simply everything. This severely detracted from the enjoyment of the trip. When highlighting this to the company on ...
Excellent pricing on Transatlantic Crossing.
Currently sailing the MSC Divina Transatlantic Cruise and have been receiving many questions regarding the ship, the journey and the experience so far.
Internet service is quite slow and intermittent so I will condense this to bullet points.
7 days left on the cruise, hopefully some of these issues will be fixed. I'm hopeful!
The ...
While the ship's public rooms are awesome, it's not enough to make up for the cramped cabin, less than average food, loud and obnoxious travelers, limited activities and the incessant announcements at the most inappropriate times in 5 different languages. This ship is so noisy and loud, you'll be begging for a place to go for just a few minutes of peace and quiet. Oh, yeah....you'll find refuge ...
Overall I rate our experience as poor. Here are some details. The entertainment shows, we felt had too much opera singing, it felt like it only appealed to a niche audience and didn’t appeal to the larger group. I think people were interested in seeing more flavorful acting, dancing and regular music from 50s, 60s or 70s, so we could sing along. We waited too long for waiter service, and ...
