  3. MSC Divina
While the ship's public rooms are awesome, it's not enough to make up for the cramped cabin, less than average food, loud and obnoxious travelers, limited activities and the incessant announcements at the most inappropriate times in 5 different languages. This ship is so noisy and loud, you'll be begging for a place to go for just a few minutes of peace and quiet. Oh, yeah....you'll find refuge In that tiny cabin. The MSC model is clearly designed to get you to spend as much money as you can because everything is extra and there are lots of rules that seem to change depending on who you talk to or what day of the week it is. Prepare to be flexible and roll with it or you're going to be very unhappy. We upgraded to Fantastica because I like room service in the morning..just coffee and toast and maybe a hard boiled egg. Well forget the egg, can't have it. And, as for toast, no can do gluten free because you can only get that kind of bread in the DR, but yet they say they'll accommodate GF diets. Not really. And no write-ins, that's a no, no. Entertainment was mostly opera, which was okay, but ten times! The stage presentations were average and somewhat hokey, but the dancers were exceptional. The other entertainment (ventriloquist, and a couple of singers) were substandard C Level acts, and can't help but think they were hired because they could speak more than one language. And forget the cruise director, what a loser. On the positive side, we had a wonderfully amiable cabin steward and our waiter and assistant were great. Also, the GF menu in the DR was much better than the regular menu. Our table mates were envious. The staff at the reception desk were exceptionally helpful and cheerful despite long lines and lots of queries. This was the second time for us on MSC and have to say it will be our last. The value vs. experience just isn't worth it.

Never again

Cabin Review

Fantastica Oceanview Stateroom
Cabin O2 8170
Cabin was very small. Three steps from the door and you hit the bed. Nowhere to sit except on the bed. No storage to speak of. Two closets, but only one could accommodate hanging garments. The other was so small, all you do was stack the clothes on top of each other. Lights from the life boats on deck 7 illuminated our cabin. Thankfully there were blackout curtains, which is a out the only positive thing to mention about this cabin.
