We have cruised regularly on Cunard cruises for 15 years. The service provided by the waiters, bar staff and our cabin steward was the usual high standard. The food in the Princess Grill in the evenings was good. However the hot meals in the self service Lido were invariably luke warm/cold. The cost of drinks has risen with a large glass of wine costing on average around 13 US dollars.

A few facts to start with..
Azamara Journey, France Intensive. Barcelona to Nice over seven nights stopping at seven ports. Three tendered ports, the remaining docked. All docked ports were in best berth in that particular port. No requirement for a free bus into town at any location. Perfect seamanship, the Journey arrived and departed exactly on schedule each day. Captains broadcasts kept to ...
We waited over a year and a half for this cruise. And our first Viking cruise lived up to all our expectations. Octantis is a wonderful cruise ship and a scientific research ship very comfortably rolled into one small vessel.
The ship is decorated in human-scale items. Not lots of glitz, just solid, comfortable furniture arranged in ways to encourage interaction among the guests. Public spaces ...
Silversea has always been seen as the pinnacle of cruising. As it's branded as "ultra-luxury" we've waited a long time to be able to sail and with great anticipation. We found this amazing 7 night Greek Isles & Turkey itinerary and had to book it right away. We did our research, read reviews, joined even joined the informal group on Facebook to read about what to expect. It all sounded so amazing: ...
My wife and I were looking forward to this cruise as we had heard how excellent Cunard was and it was a great opportunity to see the Norwegian Fjords. The itinerary was great and the excursion in Olden(Fjords and Glaciers) were excellent. To be fair embarkation and disembarkation were well managed. However, many other things were not.
We had a Britannia class balcony room. The room in the times ...
Chose this cruise as we like Oceania, embarkation close to home, and because of the port calls around the North Sea and part of Southern Baltic.
The first port in Faroes was cancelled to everyone’s disappointment, replaced by Invergordon. Which I really enjoyed, to my surprise. Otherwise everything went to plan and we thoroughly enjoyed the mix of other ports, particularly Stavanger and Oslo. ...
On our first evening in suite 844 the vibration was dreadful. The entire bathroom vibrated, as did the bedroom. Worst of all was the bed vibrating. Our entire bodies shook. It was distressing and made us both feel almost sick. First thing in the morning my husband reported the matter, but somehow it was not seen as a complaint! After three visits to reception, we eventually got a member of ...
We booked this cruise back in April 2021 when everyone was getting vaccinated for covid and thinking the pandemic would be long over by July of 2022 (silly us!) We thought it would be a great way to reconnect in person with relatives we had not been able to see since before the pandemic. We booked five cabins for ten people. Each couple came from a different part of the US; New York City, ...
Liked itinerary and had sailed with Oceania before.
Time in Bermuda was cut short.
Entertainment was sad.
Ocenia has changed since it sold out to big cruise line.
I would not travel with them again.
I felt like Ocenia nickled and dimed you every time they could.
As a fellow cruise guess said:
"They have already added a tip to everything and charged you for a Drink ...
This was my fiftieth cruise (my husband’s 48th), in about 25 years. A good friend found the Viking Great Lakes expedition cruises advertised and the four of us decided we were ready for something unique. I’ve been on 13 different cruise lines. Celebrity was our favorite until 2015 when we tried Crystal. When we planned a European river cruise, after quite a bit of research, I chose to go on ...
