Yacht Club was not up to par

Review for a Middle East Cruise on MSC World Europa

My family took a cruise on MSC in the Yacht Club on a Mediterranean cruise in 2019. We were very impressed with the YC experience and decided to sail on MSC again in Dec. 2022 Dubai cruise. The cabin was beautiful, and the cabin butler was excellent, but the YC bar, restaurant, and Top Sail grill were horrible. First, the wine selections were limited. On our last cruise, the house wine was ...

Underwhelming Experience with Silversea Cruise

Review for a Africa Cruise on Silver Spirit

Silversea is promoted as – and to some degree is – a luxury cruise line with medium sized vessels (which translates to fewer passengers), attractive destinations for the more mature and experienced traveler, and inclusive options including shore excursions, wine and spirits, and gratuities. Just the cruise I was looking for after experiencing several crowded, cities on the seas with buffet dining ...

First and Last MSC Cruise

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Sinfonia

I've been on about 50 cruises on all the major lines, and this was my first and last cruise with MSC. The itinerary was great and unique, so I had to try it, but I didn't realize the stepdown in quality compared to Royal and Princess and the other major brands. The food was not good. We tried the sit down dinners twice, and they were very slow and every single item was terrible, so we just had ...

Repositioning cruise from Barcelona to Singapore in Oct 2022.

Review for a Asia Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

20 Day cruise from Barcelona to Singapore via Suez Canal The Queen Elizabeth is a decent cruise ship and we had a room (although tiny shower cubicle) and balcony, but like many US owned Cruise lines costs on board are significant eg - Average to poor wifi £18 per day, drinks package £65 each per day (need to have for whole cruise), wine from £35 per bottle, G & T around £12, beer around £7. ...

A very disappointing experience, especially for a new ship

Review for a Middle East Cruise on MSC Bellissima

What a stupendous ship - such an exciting design, with friendly and attentive staff. The facilities were excellent (especially for kids) and were kept very clean. The pools were good especially the indoor pool. How I wanted to like this ship! BUT, BUT, BUT: What a disappointment! It was not MSC's fault that only about 600 people chose to go on this cruise (out of a possible 5000+), ...

EGYPT CRUISE ON AMADAHLIA RUN BY WINGS OF EGYPT

Review for a Middle East Cruise on AmaDahlia

We chose this cruise because it was billed as an AMAWATERWAYS trip and we had travelled with AMA before and been happy. However please be advised that in EGYPT, THE CRUISE IS LARGELY RUN BY THEIR EGYPTIAN PARTNER WINGS. So the transportation within Egypt is all handled by WINGS as is all the staffing on board the ship. Because of these issues we basically paid for an AMA experience ---but we ...

Review for a Middle East Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

We chose this via an advert in the Saturday Mail magazine last year, which included a 3 night stay in the RIU hotel on Deira Island. We throughly enjoyed our time at the hotel and given our experience on the cruise ship we wished we had stayed at the hotel. The check in at the cruise terminal was slow and over complicated and our cases took forever to arrive at our cabin. The shower in our ...

great staff awful ship

Review for a Africa Cruise on S.S. Sphinx

User Avatar

The staff was wonderful. Each person was very caring. The ship was the worst of Uniworld. There was no heat, and it was 40 degrees. There wasn't a comfortable chair. The lounge was cold and uninviting. They charged for drinks. The sheets were not good quality nor was the toilet paper. The elevator only held one person, and with a walker, it was a squeeze. That said, our guide, Hani was ...

We were referred by a friend who raved about this trip. The positives: excellent attentive staff and superb taste and variety of food. The tour guides provided by Uniworld are excellent and the choice of the Four Seasons for the first 2 and last 2 nights is great. When we did “cruise,”: going down the Nile is delightful. Some of the not so positives: this is not really a cruise. We used ...
