Amazing ship

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Royal Princess

We used to be frequent cruisers, but life happens and this was the first cruise we have been able to take in 22 years. It was worth waiting for. What a great ship and crew. The service was amazing, the food was delicious and there was plenty to do and see. The ports (Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway) were fun and interesting. Glacier Bay is simply one of the most beautiful places on earth. We had a ...

We went on a family reunion cruise to celebrate milestone birthdays and anniversaries. We were very excited to see Alaska and Alaska did not disappoint. Advice for travelers. Princess is a large company which sponsors a lot of the shops you will find on port. Excursions are cheaper if you go through other websites, like Alaska Shore Tours. i was afraid to use them given there were ...

Meh

Price, location, timing. Wanted to try another cruise line. Overall it was meh. Some poets were great. Others could have skipped. Wait staff in restaurants and our steward were great. Everything else was mediocre or even subpar. Lotus spa thermal suite is a rip off. Want my $200 back or will not even consider this cruise line again. Bed was excellent. Anytime dining dinner was also very ...

We chose this cruise for ship size and itinerary. The itinerary is GREAT. We loved the ports of call and the time in Glacier Bay was fantastic. We purchased our excursions through Princess and were happy with all of them. That is really where my rave review ends. The experience on the ship itself just wasn't worth the money in my opinion. Things are not well explained, the events/activities are ...

Disappointed

We chose this cruise for an extended family vacation (16 people), several of us having been to Alaska six years ago on a Princess cruise. We were disappointed, especially, in how crowded the ship was. We have taken two previous Princess cruises to Alaska on different ships and did not experience this. The Royal Princess is one of the largest Princess ships, but it seems that they did not increase ...

First Cruise for Granddaughers

Took daughter and 2 granddaughters (ages 7 and 4, their first cruise ever) and my granddaughters were treated like princesses....by room steward, dining room waiters, photography staff, Kareoke activity host, and by the youth center staff. They didn't want to leave the ship. They explored new foods other than pizza, hot dogs and hamburgers, and seemed to find new favorites. They saw whales in ...

Alaska is not my scene

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Azamara Quest

7th Azamara trip. Glacier was the main event and did not disappoint. Most cities looked alike. Shops and not much else. First day on board and it was self serve. Usually staff serve first day to make sure no one is sick. Azamara should go back to this best practice. I got a bad case of flu on board and it is awful to be confined for 5 days in you room. I’m sure this tainted my feeling ...

Avoid Princess

Princess was the worst cruise line I have traveled on. Staff were not friendly/helpful, food was not that good and was not labeled to indicate if it was vegetarian, many of the hot tubs were closed the entire cruise (and would have been nice since we were in Alaska), they included a mandatory tip into most of their prices which is deceitful (just give me the true price instead of trying to hide ...

My first cruise leaves me hungry for more, literally and figuratively

Review for a Alaska Cruise on National Geographic Quest

I joined this cruise as part of a family reunion and had no hand in picking this particular voyage. I also didn't pay for it! Nice deal! As this is my first cruise, I don't have a point of comparison and so may be unfairly critical. Ship: well-designed, relaxed but somewhat luxurious feel to it. They have a great sustainability effort throughout, giving you a NatGeo water bottle with refill ...

We chose this cruise to run away from the heat of summer at least for a week and to experience the relaxing sights of Alaska. Ship: The ship looks amazing. Very clean and contemporary décor. Staff continuously cleans and maintains the ship in neat condition. The onboard staff was always courteous and helpful. Bad experience with NCL air travel: We had a very stressful experience with ...
