Arrived late in the evening and went straight to the Hilton for supper, a bath, and a bed. Wandered around the hotel in the morning.

We flew in to Quebec City a few days before our cruise and wish we had gone a few more days early. There was so much to see and do in this walking-friendly city!

Not a long line for the funicular so we did take it as it was a drizzly day. Wear good walking shoes as streets are cobblestone in areas. A perfect European type city. Read Less

Because this was the final destination and we were stopping for five days, we didn't feel a need to do a tour. We were lucky that on the Sunday (we arrived on the Saturday) they were offering free tours of the Citadel, that was really interesting, although very busy. We were there for the midday firing of the cannon which was extremely loud (nearly dropped my phone that I was filming it on haha). Quebec City is just beautiful, do a horse drawn carriage ride, its a great way to see the place and get all the information you need. We were so lucky that the colours were changing, and a trip to ile d'Orleans, great little island. Read Less

The 1st thing we saw was Montmorency Falls while we were still on the cruise ship (starboard side). The Summit was docked right under the Frontenac Hotel. We took the local bus and got off at the Parliament building, saw the Fountaine de Tourny, the St. Louis Gate in the Ramparts of Quebec City, Plains of Abraham & the Martello Tower, the Joan of Arc statue & gardens, walked down La Promenade des Governeurs stairs (easier than going up!) walked the Dufferin Terrace past the Frontenac Hotel. Took the Funnicular down to Petit Champlain to see the 3D frescos & then we had lunch a fresco & finally Place Royal before heading back to the ship. Read Less
