It was wet and cold all morning in Old Quebec City. Took the short funicular ride up the slope from Lower Town to the famous Upper Town Chateu Frontenac hotel. Visited some friends. Even there they didn’t have enough boarding facilities and people were caught in cold and rain. Left a half a day early

Got in the day before to ensure we made the ship. Walked around the old town and enjoyed the experience. Went touring again after checking into the ship.

We went to Quebec City a day early, got our own maps, and did our own walking tour over 2 days. Great experience without large groups from the ship.

Quebec City is a beautiful town with several places to explore. The only drawback during our visit was that there were three other cruise ships in town and the old part of town and the boardwalk by the Chateau Frontenac were very crowded.

We would like to come back someday. Read Less
