The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

The Anthem of the Seas has to be the most poorly designed cruise ship in The a Royal Caribbean Fleet. It has one outdoor pool the size of a large postage stamp for over 4,000 guest. The indoor pool was okay but small. The ceiling does not open so there is no air movement at all. The Solarium does not allow children and we were traveling with a group that included teens. The Seaplex was nice ...

P&O or Princess Anytime

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

I chose this cruise because my partner wanted to travel with Royal Caribbean. I have only travelled with P&O and Princess before. I was disappointed with Royal Caribbean in that their quality of food in the main restaurant was not up to the standard of the other two cruise lines that I had cruised with. Also formal evenings were not formal at all - in fact I felt out of place in my long dress ...

Sailed on 9 night cruise in two balcony cabins with DH, DS-15, DD-9 and mother who uses a combination transport wheelchair/walker to get around. I will start with the great things about this cruise. Perfect vacation for my diabled mother. Wheelchair accessible balcony cabin the perfect size and ammenities to address her mobility issues. Bathroom/curbless shower big enough to accomodate her ...

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Celebrity Summit

We chose the New England itinerary because there were a couple of places that seemed to be fun and interesting to visit. It included Halifax, Boston, Bar Harbor Maine, and Portland Maine. But the options Celebrity Summit offered for tours on this cruise were poor, limited and boring. We tried booking three tours that caught our attention "A Taste of Maine" (included food tasting, lobster roll, ...

I chose this cruise because of the ports visited. We were Concierge class and the room seemed small compared to other ships. Embarkation seemed smooth. The food was mediocre . The specialty restaurants were better however I think the price was a little high.($45 p. person) The service in the dining room was good and also the room steward was good. The refrigerator in our room did not work and we ...

My daughter's dance studio decided to book a cruise to Bermuda with the intention of performing a redacted version of this years dance recital..... Day 1 Embarkation - The Embarkation process went as smoothly as I would expect with 5000 people trying to get on the boat. We all went to Windjammer buffet when on board and the place was a MADHOUSE (a second eating spot might be a decent idea). Our ...

Couldn't wait to get off the ship

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

We chose this cruise as a fun family vacation. We did not explore New Jersey before we got onto the ship simply because of Jersey's reputation. Getting onto the ship went smoothly and getting off went even faster because we chose the option of carrying our own luggage off. What you should know about Royal Caribbean's adventure of the seas is, if you book a room all the way forward or all the way ...

Celebrity might have lost me as a regular customer

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Celebrity Summit

We choose this cruise for the ports but were disappointed by the overall experience. Check in was delayed a bit because while I did the on line check in ahead of time I didn't try to print my paperwork until the day or two before and the site had shut down. Had I known it was going to do that I would have printed it out earlier but how would I know to do that. We went to our room and found that ...

MDR food selection terrible, especially for Jewish travelers, who should not eat seafood or pork products. And we don't notify ahead for a special menu, since when you mention "Jewish" or "Kosher" at the table, there are often folks who shun you, and not a few of them, especially the Israel-haters. Larger portions and wider variety on Carnival, Cunard and RCL past cruises. Excellent waiter ...

10 Night Bermuda and New England

We chose this itinerary for our summer family cruise for four. We knew that Celebrity wouldn’t be the best choice for having lots of extra kids activities onboard, however, everyone including the kids (7 & 11) wanted to go to do this unique itinerary. We had previously sailed on a ten night Horizon (horrible) and an eleven night Silhouette (awesome). Boarding was super quick and efficient. ...
