Short walk, tiny cave, "hunting" experience was really basic. Disappointed. Also, cruise line made this one VERY difficult to book. Didn't even have it available until we were on the ship. ...

Lifou is a lovely island, of all of my favourite pacific islands its not high on my list but certainly I have also had some great days there, My son and i wanted to get in some snorkeling, we bought all of our gear along and hardly got to use it so here was our final chance, we could have paid $15 each to walk to the other side of the island at Jinek Bay, I have done that before and it is stunning ...

This was my favourite port - we walked from the beach where the tenders dropped us to two places: 1. Jinek Bay for snorkelling 2. Cave with fresh water pool. Both excellent and lots of fun. Walk to and from cave is very steep and I paved through a little jungle so recommend sturdy walking shoes and reasonable level of fitness. ...

Lovely island that you are tendered to. Its easy to back to the ship for lunch if you want. We paid to go to the cave $10ea and the better snorkling beach $15ea. We were happy with both those areas and while I wouldn't be fussed not to di the cave next time I would definitely pay againvto use the snorkel beach. The fish were so amazing and the water was more protected. ...

Went for a walk to the Church on the point. I am currently a big girl, but, I made it up that steep hill on a very hot day 38 degrees celcius. Was beautiful. The Explorer crew were very well organised and moved a lot of passengers very efficiently to and from the island. Some of the locals a bit opportunistic, particularly selling beers at $10AUD. The people in the markets friendly enough. ...
