One of the things I wanted to see on the Bali leg. Only I took this tour because it required a lot of hiking. There are several park ranger assigned to protect the tour which offered two walking tours - a short and long tour. Both included the gathering point where Komodo Dragons gather. A short distance after it the group was offered a shorter route back. About half opted for it and the rest of ...

We pictured kind of a Jurassic Park, but found the Komodo monsters to be quite docile, in fact they hardly looked real. The area they took us to looked staged, man-made objects like water pipes just don't make things very convincing. I think this is the only way you can get to the island, so what can you do... ...

Beautiful setting. This tour was also independent. The Komodo Island itself is disappointing. Obvious the 4 komodo dragons we saw were watered and most likely fed to keep them around for the tourist. Reality we only needed to go as far as the dragon watering station. For nobody supposedly living on the island, they need to clean up around the house located there. Take care of the garbage. The ...

Did not goon the Dragon tour as too much walking involved. Went to Pink Beach and village but not prepared to transfer from an awkward local boat to a small dinghy to be transported to the beach so stayed on board with four others. Village people friendly but not trying to sell anything but some people would have found walking along the jetty to be a little hazardous. ...

Komodo dragons hardly move and they misdirected us as to which trail to take. The shorter one was just as good as the lengthier. Tenders were poorly used. ...
