Again excellent for a one-day visit, particularly with SeaDream that departs almost midnight. The daytime sight-seeing is impressive and then there is even night-life!

The ship docks approx. 10 minute walk from the start of the shops and 15 minute walk from Talamanca Beach. If you come out of the port and turn left and then follow the road, you will see signs for Talamanca Beach. It is a lovely beach with shallow warm waters, white sands and comfortable beds and umbrellas for hire. There are numerous bars and restaurants along the back of the beach which offer a great selection of food. We walked back a different way via Spa which took us up hill and gave great views of the bay and the ship. Read Less

We took the shuttle into the town as its too far to walk. Lots of great shops to browse and the timing is done so you can go to a club if you want.

There is a shuttle bus service directly outside the pier (2.50 euros) or a water taxi (2.60 euros) if the ship is docked on the opposite side of the old town. If the ship is docked on the same side as the old town, you will be right in the heart of the city when you disembark. It is possible to walk from the opposite side and it will take about 20 minutes or so.Be sure to check out D'Alt Vista for amazing views of the ship. Restaurants are plentiful but most don't open until 11:30 am or later. The old town has lots of touristy type shops. Read Less

Loved Ibiza, only though we only had a short 6 hours. We walked via the brand new port directly into town and easily caught a cab to take us to Bossa beach (Platja d'en Basso) which was a beautiful beach with a number of beach clubs where you can rent chaises with cushons and umbrellas. There are also a number of kiosks to get drinks and light fare and at the end of the beach is a nice natural park that you can hike or bike around. Read Less

The isle of Ibiza is preparing a large harbour for Cruise ships, to the surprise of many whom visited Ibiza before. We docked in the new, not finished, harbour, in stead of in front of the Old town. This meant, we had to purchase a shuttle ticket into town ($12 round trip). And yes, the walk is way too far, 8 km with hardly any sidewalks isn't my idea of a nice walk, so we were glad we bought the shuttle tickets. Dal vita is immensely beautiful. It was a shame we visited the town so early in the day, and on a Sunday to booth, because the town was barely waking up when we were there. The boat would leave at 3pm and the medieval market would start at 2 pm. This was a bummer, because even the preparations looked spectacular! I wouldn't have minded to stay here a little longer. June 3, 2012 After a day at sea, we stopped in Invergordon, the nearest port to Inverness Scotland. Cold, but clear, snow visible on surrounding mountains. Easy public bus to Inverness, but, it being Sunday and the Jubilee weekend, not much was open, but the shops that were were nice. Look for the British Heart Association thrift shop near the bus depot. If you want a Loch Ness tour, you must book ahead. We went out to Culloden battle field and enjoyed that. Taxi 20 pounds each way, but it was worth it. Returned to Invergordon and most of their shops were open, lots of fun shopping for souvenirs and local treats. Town museum nice but really more for locals, but we were supportive. Read Less

We walked into Eivissa (Ibiza Town) from the port. Although the cruise terminal is very close to the town it is only accessible by crossing the wide bay and therefore took approx 35 mins on foot. However, it is an enjoyable stroll through the newly-developed area of Talamanca which houses several 5 star hotels & luxury apartments close to an upmarket marina. However, upon reaching the main town we found many of the shops & cafes closed (out of season) and it was a little quiet. Nevertheless we enjoyed strolling around the narrow streets and admired the architecture of the Dalt Vila. Read Less
