I would have rated the cruise and Oceana as a 5 if it wasn't for the cheap flight arranged with the olife option. 2 stops each way totally unacceptable. Rest of cruise wad fabulous with incredible food and excellant shows. Around the World with the singers and dancers might have been one of the best shows we have seen. Not being continually hounded to buy photos -priceless.
Embarkation was a ...
Oceania is still one of the best cruise lines and the Riviera is one of the best ships in the fleet. It's large enough to offer all the amenities and yet small enough to feel intimate in many ways. We once again had an Oceania suite and this is one of the finest staterooms on any ship we've been on; large enough to live in long-term.
There is a butler and a stateroom attendant to look after ...
Having been on Oceania's small ships we wanted to try their larger ships. The Rivera with one thousand passengers has the feeling of a small ship. The specialty restaurants are as good as any I've dined and I've been on many cruise lines. Special kudos to Red Ginger & Jacques. The breakfast and lunch buffets were excellent with tremendous variety. The itinerary was the Eastern Caribbean, which ...
We had a wonderful time and met a lot of really nice people. I would highly recommend this cruise. The only thing is didn't like is I felt they needed more activities on days at sea. The activities were all revenue based.
The food was delicous. The specialty restaurants were especially good. The Miso Sea Bass is absolutely fabulous. There were so many good choices it was hard to ...
We chose to book a Caribbean cruise on Oceania Riviera as we wanted to experience a luxury cruise ship and it was amazing. We loved the stylish decor, paintings, works of art, the Lalique staircase, comfortable lounge areas , ample seating up in Horizons bar/lounge...the anytime dining was great no pressures. We enjoyed meals in the Grand Dining Room we prebooked meals in Jacques and in Red ...
Our 3rd cruise on Riviera....love the ship and the staff. Ship had to undergo an inspection before we boarded on 12/2 so check in was the most chaotic we have ever experienced on Oceania. We chalked it up to badly managed and went on to enjoy a wonderful cruise and vacation. Food is awesome...regardless of where you eat. World Beat was the best show I have ever seen on any ship! The comedian ...
We choose this cruise because of the itinerary and we wanted to experience a smaller ship. We are glad we did the cruise, however, smaller ships are “not our cup of tea.” We did not think there was much to do and will stick to Oceania and Regent’s larger ships. Here are out thoughts and opinions:
Air Arrangements – GRADE F. We have never had such poor air arrangements. Oceania did not even ...
Cruised on Riviera previously. Onboard is fantastic. Cabins service food all 5 star plus. Relaxed atmosphere and no dressing up required. Public areas are luxurious. Lots of activities appropriate to the demographic of the clientele. (The majority of passengers were clearly retired). Staff could not be more accommodating.
Ports of call were uninspiring. I don't know about the excursions ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary. We wanted to see as much of Cuba as possible so the three port stops was ideal. Havana was nice with the classic car tour. Our driver was very nice, spoke some English. The only thing was we saw a lot of Havana but I did not get many pictures due to the fact that we only stopped at Revolutionary Square and a Hotel for a drink. Would like to have ...
We have traveled with Oceania on 6 prior occasions and have completely enjoyed all of them. The Cuban trip was fascinating and very enjoyable. It was really a blast back to the past in many ways. Havana, Cienfuegos, Trinidad, and Santiago were all very different and and amazing places to have the opportunity to visit. The people are very friendly and great full to see American’s. Obviously we help ...
