My return to the American Independence (I sailed in May 2021 on the Chesapeake) for a PORTS OF MAINE CRUISE was just what I needed to force me to relax from my busy life and let "someone else do the driving!"
Cruising on American Cruise Line is so effortless.
Once you arrive with your luggage it is all "gladly giving up the controls" and letting this amazing and attentive staff do the ...
This was my first cruise EVER that I took with my mother as her gift to me. What an amazing memory and the best part is my 'cruise souvenirs' were a group of women that I hope to see, again, soon!
I was excited to see the beauty of Maine from the water after visiting some of the ports last year by land. The water gives you an entirely different perspective!
Portland, Maine is the 'city' we ...
Having thoroughly enjoyed river cruising in Europe (with AMA Waterways), we wanted to try a river cruise in the US. We preferred the modern style riverboats to the paddlewheelers, so American Cruise Lines seemed to fit the bill. We are music lovers, so the Music Cities Cruise from Memphis to Nashville was the first we wanted to try. We booked a full year in advance and got our choice of ...
We were interested in cruising on a small ship and have heard excellent comments about American Cruise Lines.
We took the ACL American Constellation on a delightful experience around the San Juan islands recently. We saw all kinds of wildlife, and our favorite was whales! Such magnificant creatures are a true fascination. The cabin was wonderfully spacious and especially the bathroom, with an ...
We love American cruise lines. It is geared for the older population. You are treated with respect and compassion. The ship we were on, the American Star only holds about 100 passengers, but there were only 50+ passengers. It felt like having your own private yacht. The onboard entertainer Mark Farris was wonderful. The cruise director Jenn Starr was amazing. The guest speaker Dale was so ...
We did this cruise because Memphis/ Mississippi/Graceland were on our bucket list. American Cruiselines are not cheap but well worth the extra cost. The ship was spotless, food fabulous and staff were amazing. Loved that the tour bus followed the ship so that we could take the coach at every port. (Great for those difficulty with walking). I am vegan and the Executive Chef Guy catered for me ...
My friend and I selected this cruise for this year based on the terrific itinerary that would bring us to the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac River. We booked the trip in 2021 and the reviews we read were from 2019, a year after the ship launched and before the pandemic. They were wonderful. We didn’t think to go back and read reviews again, but did so while we were on the cruise - what a ...
We selected the San Juan Islands Tulip Festival Cruise to visit Skagit Valley for the annual tulip festival held every April. It rivals visiting the fields of Holland without the overseas travel. We spent time in Tulip Towne and were given a private escorted tour of the farm operations. It was very informative and educational. Anyone with an interest in gardening would love it.
The cruise ...
I decided to write a review on my recently completed American Cruise Lines cruise. Rather than the typical short review I decided to be truly informative for those of you who have only done ocean cruises and never ones on a 140-170 passenger river cruise which stays in US water ways.
I've been on nearly 60 cruises, and to about 90 countries. Our world has many wonderful places to visit but ...
American Cruise Lines makes every cruise a 5-star experience!
The ship was spotless and so beautifully decorated from the various common areas to our private areas.
The staff and crew were wonderful. Made us feel like we were the most special guests on the vessel!
We had some rough waters on occasion but the captain and cruise directors handled the experience with wisdom.
The dining ...
