My return to the American Independence (I sailed in May 2021 on the Chesapeake) for a PORTS OF MAINE CRUISE was just what I needed to force me to relax from my busy life and let "someone else do the driving!"

Cruising on American Cruise Line is so effortless.

Once you arrive with your luggage it is all "gladly giving up the controls" and letting this amazing and attentive staff do the work. Our luggage arrived in our room within minutes and we left it sitting to enjoy our first of MANY meals in the dining room. The chef was excellent and the meals were good and consistent. I don't know if the chef doubles as the pastry chef, as well, but I couldn't resist the offerings and I will probably be walking the sinful desserts off for the next week!

Cabin Review

I loved the balcony since we were gifted with great weather. Cabin is very spacious and everything was put in its place!
