I have not cruised in a number of years, and couldn't wait to take another. Chose this one mainly because of Bermuda, and I have cruised on this class of ship a few times in the past, and like the layout and ease of getting around.
Embarkation: We had an 11:30 boarding time. Arrived at the terminal right at 11:30. First disconcerting issue, when we got off the shuttle, and had our bags out ...
We chose this cruise because we had not been to Bermuda since 2015 and liked the itinerary. We had last cruised on the Mariner of the Sea in Oct. 2008. We flew into Orlando the day before the cruise and used GOPORT. COM package for a hotel room and transportation to and from the port. Getting on the ship took about 90 minutes as they checked your vaccination record, COVID test results and your ...
Mariner of the Seas is a lovely ship. It was very clean and altho it could use some TLC in some areas there wasn't any one thing that was "horrible". The crew was great! There is a lot to do on the ship, the dining venues are plentiful.
Aruba- Took the free trolley to downtown. It is a nice ride to the downtown shopping area. Watch the time because the trolley stops running around 4p or so ...
We chose this cruise for its length and itinerary. It was my 3rd time on the Mariner OS. This cruise was definitely the best of 4 since the restart. The ship was fully staffed and near capacity. The MoS is a great size, easy to navigate and is comfortable. The casino is a little small but always active, particularly in the evenings. Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire were all first time stops for us ...
I cruised royal Caribbean a few years ago and had a great time. This time around, I've found it to be a shadow of what it was from even a few years ago. The number of activities was far fewer. The food quality, preparation, and potions lower. Large blocks where child care was unavailable including during formal dining. And between myself and others in my group there were so few positive staff ...
Went on Mariner of the Seas, 5 nights to Labadee and Coco Cay. Frequent cruisers but first time after just one on Royal Caribbean years ago. Was multi-generational trip including first cruise for 7 and 9 year old granddaughters. Selected this trip as two great ports and activities on ship and adjourning promenade rooms for 4 family members. Enjoyed the ports and would return to both private ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted to see some new cultures and islands with our kids and experience being on a cruise ship. The staff, food, entertainment were all wonderful. The part that felt misleading was the fact that we had no interaction with any of the cultures of the Islands we visited directly. Royal Caribbean only takes you to the parts of the Island that they have rented or ...
We were on a multi-generational family cruise, and the main appeal (during COVID times) of only visiting two private cruise ship islands, Labadee and CocoCay, swayed us to all try Royal Caribbean for the first time. Both islands were spectacular, and we would highly recommend private cabanas. Labadee was our favorite of the two, especially since we were the only ship at port. CocoCay was too ...
Our trip went to Labadee, San Juan, St. Maarten, St. Croix and Perfect Day. Embarkation was very easy and practically walked onto the ship when we got there. Our first stop was to get our safety briefing which has been modified to watch a video (do it before you get on the ship) and you were ready to cruise. Windjammer Cafe was well laid out with lots of options. It did get pretty crowded at ...
A few months ago we were on the Mariner of the Seas and had a bad experience with the food which I reviewed on this site. When we sailed again this month, the service and the food in the main dining room was 100% better!!! We had a great waiter and the food was so much better. The Windjammer was a lot better too--the only problem was they did not have any bananas the 1st 3 days--a supply ...
